Joseph smiled back at the angry Klingon “I am an excellent judge of character. I am also familiar with the House Juv and am not as one might say, a big fan” His smile faded “But I am even less of a fan of wanton murder on my Colony. If you have proof of your claim beyond a spiritual connection to this artefact bring it forth. If so we might be able to help each other.” He looked at his wrist “I have a meeting to go, but if you have any proof that the Federation can plead with I can promise you help. But beyond that I can guarantee this, here you are a visitor of the Government of Oed V and the Federation. That means you follow our law but you also receive it’s protections” He grabbed something outside the holograms range “So long as you don’t kill anyone we won’t have problems.” He went to turn the link off before realising something “Ah, and I have a court date set for you and your brothers. I believe my brother made some nice new attire to wear.” He winked at the Klingon as his imaged disappeared and the Detective Chief Inspector grabbed the small device “Well that was an odd conversation” He said simply.

Pangolin pocketed the device with a shrug to the Klingon “Madame Curator, I think the best course of action is to move the big rock away so you can monitor it better” He didn’t look away from the Klingon, still half smiling at him “But seeing as our Klingon friend hasn’t done anything to it I don’t see a problem with him escorting it and observing it seeing as he is the closest to an expert we have on it” Pangolin turned to the Vulcan behind him. There was some sorts of plan revolving around the three Klingons. For some reason they were being allowed fairly free reign. “Maybe he can pray it loose” He turned back around to the Madman Archeologist.

Karlson & Pangolin

Urg laughed out loud at the little man. “Open the case, and I will show you what I can do with it.” It wasn’t at all clear if that was an offer or a threat, but before anyone could venture a guess the big warrior turned to the Curator. “See to your logistics. I will remain vigilant over the holy relic.”

Urg’tohn, Son of the House of Duroc

Which was when K’vorth showed up. Wandering past the other relics and displays and ignoring the other people in the hall as if they did not exist, happily licking at an item that was stuck in some kind of cone shaped holder. K’vorth had decided that Ice Cream was amazing, and as he couldn’t chew it, it obviously didn’t meet the museums standards for not consuming food on the premises. “Glory be to Kvaar’ton, Brother mine” he said moving up beside the larger Klingon. “ooooooh, whats this?” he said, tapping his ice cream against the side of the object and then frowning as it left a smear. Leaning forwards, he extended his tongue to lick it off.

Kvorth, Son of the House of Duroc

Urg immediately shoved his older brother away. “Approach with reverence, Brother-Mine. Kavaar’ton has shown us the way. His weapon lay before you, Son of House Duroc. Show your respect to the Builder and keep your wagging tongue in your head for a change.”

Urg’tohn, Son of House Duroc

“What do you mean, for a change?” K’vorth asked, looking evilly at his brother for a moment before his tongue finally slipped back in his mouth, but not before first visiting the ice cream he carried.

Excellent, the moron is here Pangolin thought to himself whilst smiling at the Vulcan curator “I recommend moving the artefact so our friend here can examine it properly” He said before turning to Kvorth, the smile never leaving his lips. “Your little brother is going to be doing some experiments, it might be best to keep your icee treat away from the holy rock”

“Your right, he can get his own” K’vorth said, nodding. He didn’t look at the man at all, but gazed at the rock as if he was concentrating on something. “It is not the rock we came for.”

DCI Pangolin

Urg never took his eyes off his brother. Inside, he was grateful to see him. Outside, he never changed. “Little man…” he said to Pangolin, “… the rock is not holy. The Blessed War Maul of Kvaar’ton is the relic.” And then he slowly turned his head and looked at the Inspector, a look in his eye that may indicate there was more going on upstairs in the Klingon than previously indicated. “I thought someone in your line of work would pick up on such things.” and he returned his gaze to Kvorth and the relic.

Urg’tohn, Chosen of the Builder

Two of the three were present, where was the third. Kvaar’ton was paient but it had been millenia. This a only a piece of the puzzle. Though it had not moved again, the hammer seemed almost alive with energy for the moment. The item itself attentive to its surroundings. The brothers also had to feel it, and that someone would becoming to stop them soon.

Kvaar’ton the Tired

“Hah!” Pangolin chuckled “There are certain things a man in my line of work chooses to care about. And your little quest is not one of those things” He looked at the rock, putting his hands in his pockets again “Although I’m starting to think that you three have some divine protection for certain” He smiled politely “There’s pressure on the Commish to kick you brothers off world preferably yesterday and I don’t think annoying some Klingon High pansies is going to make it easier”

DCI Pangolin

K’vorth raised his hand, not at the human, but to the rock and let it hover over the surface for a moment. “Feel that?” He said to Urg, “It speaks. Let the unbelievers wallow in their false belief and comfortable denial. When the time comes, they are insignificant, unimportant despite their belief otherwise.”

Urg didn’t turn around, but said softly enough for only Pangolin and Kvorth to hear. “Kick us out now, and you will have no protection from what is about to come to this rock, Inspector. And know this: Our quarrel is not with anyone here. But there is… something… coming for us. It knows we know the truth. A truth that will shake the very ground of what it means to be Klingon. And it wants that truth to stay hidden. Soon… you will have to choose a side. You may not care about our quest… but that does not mean you do not have a part to play in it.”

Pangolin audibly laughed this time “You think three Klingons are going to be the deciding factor in our protection” The laughter was not mocking, just a surprised outburst of amusement “Whatever part I have to play in all of this has already been decided by someone grander than whatever fates you pray to.” The Detective Chief Inspector finally turned around “I’m going to get some air, make sure Lurk over there doesn’t break anything.” The strange man swaggered away.

DCI Pangolin

With his eyes following him a moment, K’vorth shoved a hand in a pocket and licked absently at his ice cream. “Pity, that man has a serious screw loose. Why do they let a crazy person just walk around?” he shrugged, and watched as a woman came towards them.

The Curator tapped a few commands into the PaDD she carried and then walked over to the two Klingons. “The relic will be moved to our restoration area. I will allow you to accompany it, but be advised we have significant security. Should you try to… ‘inspect’… anything else, you will be removed from the Museum.”

Urg looked at the Curator and simply grunted. A team of four museum employees came and moved the relic onto a hover-cart and Urg fell in behind them as they began to make their way into the non-public areas of the facility.

Pausing behind the progression, the Klingon looked at the empty space a moment and then stepped into where it had been standing, and closed his eyes. Moments later, he opened his eyes, licked at the treat, and followed on.

The relic made it’s way through the administrative side of the museum, with the big Klingon watched it intently. The crew moving it came to a door, entered a code, and moved into a large laboratory -type room. As Urg began to enter, one of the employees moved into the door and said “You can’t come in here.” and made to put his hand on Urg’s chest to stop him. The Curator’s eyes went wide, but before she could utter a word of warning, Urg’tohn grasped the man’s arm and lifted him off the ground with one hand so they were eye to eye. “Never. Touch. Me.” he said calmly but through gritted teeth. He slowly lowered the man, setting him down gently on the floor. Urg turned to the Curator and said “I will accompany the relic. I will not touch anything. Your rules.” and he waited for her reply.

“You really shouldn’t touch him” K’vorth agreed coming up beside them. “he doesn’t like it. He’s always been like that.”

The Curator simply nodded slightly, and Urg walked through the door and took up a position so he could see the relic and the door.

There was a small ding from the internal Com system and the voice of the Detective Chief Inspector was heard =^=”tsk, tsk, tsk… Now now tiny, don’t go fondling the staff. If you want to continue your quest down this path you’re going to have to be a little bit less on hands with folks just doing their jobs.=^= It was clear that despite not having anyone in the room the Klingons were still being watched carefully.

DCI PAngolin

The only movement from the warrior was a bending of the arm at the elbow, the raising of the hand, and then a single-fingered gesture that was universal and not at all polite.

Urg’tohn, Builder of Gestures Most Profane

“Nobody ever said doing your job was safe” K’vorth said and moved right up to the rock. “I wonder if they realize that now it has been identified, it is a relic of Klingon origin and they have no right to inspect it, let alone hold it here. They are going to put their own people in danger simply by their greed.” He turned back to Urg. “We do not have much time, Brother. It comes.”

K’vorth, Son of House Duroc

Urg didn’t move, but said simply “Aye.” and then was quiet for a few moments. He turned his head slowly and looked at his brother. “They called House Juv when the relic spoke to me. They told the officer who just spoke to kill us. They are coming to try and take possession.” he said. “You know what that means…” he added, his voice trailing off as he looked at his sibling.

Urg’tohn, Son of House Duroc

A wide and vicious grin spread across the features of K’vorth and his hand came to rest on the hilt of the mek’leth at his side. “That means the Sons of Duroc go to War once again Brother. Blood will flow, and the unbelievers will discover the truth of Kvaar’ton. With a pleased glint in his eyes, he bit the rest of the ice cream and chewed, wincing as the cold treat touched his teeth.

K’vorth, Son of House Duroc

Urg smiled… not as pleasant a sight as it could have been. It was obvious that he was far from scared at the prospect of Klingon Noble House assassins coming after them. “Kvaar’ton will return to build our House, laying it’s foundation on the bones of those who would stand against us.” and he looked at the relic. “It will feed again on those who seek to bury the truth.”
