“I see..” Siryn mulled over her words. “You added in ‘Federation Planet,’” The tourist rose her head in slight curiosity. “Does that entail this colony accepts more than Federation species?” She was rather subtle with her need for information, at least regarding what it was for. A tourist was always an inquisitive person, especially in a place they had never been before.

OOC: Bump!
This is also still open to new people! The more, the merrier. :)

Kanok had decided to down the bloodwine and call it a night. He had important things to take care of in the morning. Things just felt quite different without Conrad around. And with him having taken the Black Sparrow on a run, this could be awhile. Then again, maybe another drink would do him well. After all, the Black Sparrow was gone for the time being. Why not enjoy it? He sat back down and ordered another bloodwine.

OOC: Sorry about the late reply

IC: Shari laughed, “My dear, there are all sorts of people here. While they may not be exactly easy to find, one can find them if they look hard enough.”

Shari Binns

“As any diverse place, I would assume.” Siryn offered, her gaze somewhat wandering, even when she spoke to Shari. She was a peculiar woman, that human traveller, but it didn’t take a genius to see that.

It was at this point that the bar really started to have quite the diversity. It was one thing to have at least one Orion woman around, let alone the wife of a head of government. But to have two Orions?…

A green skinned woman entered the bar with her long black hair cascading off of her shoulders to her back. She wore a modest dress that somehow neatly hugged her curves. She was a mere five and a half feet tall, but held onto much dignity in her walk. She wasn’t striking in the sense of causing an ere of dominance about her, but there was an underlying attitude that spoke of her being a strong leader.

She went up to the bar and ordered a mild drink and glanced about the bar, looking pointedly at anyone who had taken notice of her.

One Orion was interesting, two was chaos. Siryn was surprised to find the woman entering the bar, before recognizing that this place did seem to have a rather diverse population. Eyeing her with a sense of curiosity, she narrowed her eyes in contemplation. “Looking for a mild night?” She asked, in attempt to strike up a conversation regarding her choice of basic drink.

Siryn was pleased with the events of the evening. While she was not getting the information she wanted to know about this unique place, she was getting a feel for its culture. These people, from what she could tell, had taken their education seriously. Of those she had met, they were wellspoken and articulate, something she had come to respect of them.

“I am sorry for intruding,” Siryn played a sheepish grin, adding to her previously abrupt interjection. “I hope I didn’t come off nosy or rude.” The African woman wore a glitter about her eyes, an unexplainable emotion that seemed almost comparible to complacency.. And yes, curiosity.

Shari kept her eyes on the new Orion as well, she kept track of the people of importance that came to OED V, and this woman was one such person. Taking a sip of her drink, she waited to see how the other Orion would respond, while at the same time tapping her finger on the table in a certain pattern. In the back of the room, a Trill male took notice, and left the room.

Vashki retrieved a mild beverage, similar to a wine cooler, but otherworldly indeed. She tipped the top to her lips and took a sip before replying. “Mild, perhaps. Just getting a feel for things.” Perhaps she was being vague, but who could blame her in a place she had never been before. “And who are you both?” she inquired looking them over with particular note of Shari, given their shared heritage.

-Vashki

“New here?” She asked, judging by her use of ‘getting a feel for things.’ Although, the interpretation for such a comment could have been far more vast than what Siryn had made of his. “Siryn.” She offered, without any context as to whether it was her first or last name. She then glanced over at Shari, so she could introduce herself, feeling hardly close enough to do so for her.

Shari lifted her glass in greeting, “Shari Binns, it is a pleasure to meet you.” Names were power, and it showed just how confident Shari was in her power that she would give away both her first and last name like that.

Shari Binns

Vashki lifted her glass to them. “The name is Vashki, and yes new would be appropriate. I’ve heard a lot about Oed over the years. What can either of you share about this place?” Her manner was unobtrusive, but truth be told, she sought something out. But for now, she would keep that on the down low. Chances were, if it was as popular as she thought it might be, it would attract attention.

-Vashki

“I daresay.. Not much.” Siryn admitted, her smile pure in its colour, but the emotion behind it may render one concerned for what went on within the mind of the young traveller. She, just as Vashki, was on the prowl, but their reasoning? Who knew if they were akin, or gravely different. “Where do you come from, Vashki?” Her face was one Siryn felt she recognized from somewhere, but she couldn’t say whether it was true or if her face were a ghost she couldn’t describe.

Siryn
“Traveller”

Nothing so far. Perhaps the one called Shari Binns would share something or two.

Vashki looked to Siryn. “I’m an independent freighter captain. Home is basically my ship and its crew at this point.” Vashki shrugged. “And where do you hail from? You seem new here as well.”
