Tyra took a bite of the sandwich “I can get the destinations for each of the animals and we can contact the receiving facilities to see if they received the animals.”

IC: Dawson nodded thoughtfully. “I wonder if we were able to somehow get tags on some of those crates, or determine the vehicles they would be on and tag those? Maybe one of us could find a way into the higher ups hands? Almost play the role of something they need in order to infiltrate their organization?”

He took a sip of his beverage and looked to the two ladies. “Thoughts?”

“If we do the tracing method, the tracer shouldn’t give any signal or indication it’s there. It needs to continually record its location so we can follow the exact path,” Valkris stated then looked at Tyra.

“Can you design something like or have access to something like that?” She was genuine curious about the CE’s ingenuity. As far as the security officer was aware, everything gave off some type of signal and could be easily traced with the right equipment. Stealthy gadgets were difficult to obtain unless through illegal means most the time.

“There are ways to mask its signature,” remarked Dawson. Having been involved in such things gave him the advantage they would likely need.

She took a sip of her tea then considered something.

“The infiltrating is a lot more difficult because they seem to be a tightly knit group. You saw how things went down and they knew we weren’t supposed to be there. I have feeling they have a set channel from which they hire from,” Valkris pointed out, placing her tea down.

Tyra nodded “It shouldn’t be too difficult to create. It will take me a couple hours. What items do you have here?” She asked “That could be a transmitter.” Tyra finshed her sandwich and drink and stood up “Let’s get to work.”

CE

“I have quite a bit,” replied Dawson. “This is after all a secret security organization.” He gave a slight wink as he made for the door.

Valkris shot him a look, her right eyebrow raised in question. She was suspicious for a moment over how he knew such things, then let it pass. He ran a security company. Of course, he would know about such things and how to overcome them.

“Do you need help,” Valkris offered.

She wasn’t an engineer, but she did have some engineering basics left from the academy. She was mostly rusty, but the extra hands couldn’t hurt. Taking a moment, she wiped her mouth then pushed out of her chair. She pulled up her dishes to return to the replicator. They vanished in moments while she returned to the group, her hands free now.

“Should we then try the tracer method and go from there?”

Dawson ushered the ladies into the hall, ready to lead them to his different areas of equipment.

OOC: Thank you both for your patience. :)

-Tony

As they walked, Tyra looked for the various parts that she would need to make a transmitter or modify one that she found “We’ll need to use the masking technology. However, where are we going to transmit to. It will have to be a short message so that it can’t be easily noticed or decrypted.” She said quickly as she thought about what the steps were as she moved along with the others.

Though no one officially answered her, Valkris took it as a sign of permission and followed the other two. She listened to Tyra before she considered an option.

“Could the device be portable? Like a small reciever and we could follow it while it moves?”

Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

Tyra nodded “Portable would work probably better than a larger more permenanet one.” She said as they walked “We just need to make sure that no more animals leave the OED by however it is moving.”

OC: Waited a bit for Tony to reply, but I’ll go ahead and move this along.

IC: “I don’t think we need to worry about that now. We spooked them enough that their operations might’ve stopped just as a precautionary. That doesn’t help us because there’s no information when or if it will pick up again,” Valkris pointed out.

Her hand scratched the back of her neck, her mind ticking and working out the issues. Her thoughts become verbal words as she voiced the issues outloud, her figure pacing in a small oval nearest the table. She had became restless when she ate, but she refused to let the tingling sensations settle in her legs.

“Our main issue is getting their operations to move. When we figure out how their operations work, we can possibly back track and rescue the missing animals. At least put those responsible for the thief and illegal captivity in prison,” she paused then looked at the pair.

“Anyone got an idea or connections to orchestrate a ‘purchase’? This way, we know the animal is safe and can be later returned when the smugglers are shut down.”

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

OOC: Thanks guys! Sorry for the delay. I’m back in it now. :) Oh, also on a side note, we might want to clarify when this occurs? You’ll recognize the names I’m about to suggest here in a moment. ;)

IC: “I’ve been keeping an eye on a particularly notable duo that recently arrived to Oed once again. Records show they had lived here at one point but then took off and disappeared. There are some records I was able to access pertaining to some illegal activities they had been involved in. The general populace is under the belief that they are awfully suspicious. Perhaps if we were able to get a hold of them they could make a purchase?”

Dawson moved over to his computer to access the names of the individuals. “A captain, Michael Conrad, and his first mate, Kanok, who own the ship the Black Sparrow. Might be worth looking into?” He looked to the two ladies before him for their thoughts.

-Dawson, Owner of Secret Securities

“Possibly.” Tyra said “We can look at them, I think we also need to look at other options. We can trace some of the changes through the computer systems.” She said “The rest is just going to have to be old fashioned police work.” She said
