“Possibly.” Tyra said “We can look at them, I think we also need to look at other options. We can trace some of the changes through the computer systems.” She said “The rest is just going to have to be old fashioned police work.” She said

Noticing the security officer was quiet, he nudged her shoulder. “Penny for your thoughts?” he asked, as per the old earth saying.

OOC: Umm, this could have happened after Lindsay’s thread with the Sparrow because I haven’t fully defined when this happens purely to keep flexible. And considering Valkris was so edgy and quiet, the first thread could’ve been her first meeting with the crew. This means this round she would much more comfortable with them.

IC: Valkris blinked, the name familiar. She was silent for a moment as she tried to recall where she heard it. Cosgrove’s name surfaced alongside the names causing her to mentally groan. She knew these two causing her to close her eyes and inhale.

“I know those two. I was invited on a trip to Tyrellia with Ms. Cosgrove, mostly to learn the truth about the incident and gain a better understanding. The details of the trip are not mine to share, but it was a memorable one,” Valkris refused to give more information over the nature of it.

“I’m not sure how if they would be willing, though I will insure they will gain immunity from the transactions if we apprehend those responsible.”

Thinking over Tyra’s suggestion, Valkris agreed. She considered the police and who she knew that was involved, but she felt they wouldn’t approve of their method. Cosgrove’s skill set wouldn’t fit the situation and dragging her in was illogical.

“Anyone I know doesn’t have the skills suitable for this task.”

“Let me see if I can get a hold of him,” said Dawson. “If he can help, perhaps one of us could go with, to ensure that things go smoothly? I would volunteer myself, but I made need to monitor the tech we give them to keep an eye on things. Maybe one or both of you could pose as some of his crew?” he pondered as he moved off to his console to bring up his communications network.

Valkris’ face creased into thought over the possibilities. Her crest covered her wrinkled brow while she settled in her seat, her brown eyes stared off into space. Memories over the last voyage swarmed her mind like locus eager to be remembered. She bounced her foot once then twice before she made a decision.

“Even if they saw me, I don’t think they got a good look. I could easily pass for a full blooded Klingon,” she admitted.

The subtleness in her words didn’t speak highly of human’s abilities to distinguish individual Klingons. However, she didn’t dwell much on it.

“Since they were involved in illegal activities, it’s possible they have several places for ‘sensitive’ clients to stowaway underneath prying eyes. Tyra could be hidden and monitor any trouble. Early warning system.”

Tyra nodded “I can monitor remotely.” She said “It shouldn’t be too hard. I can put something in the programs that open the cages.” She said “It’s just a matter of coding.”

“The releasing of the animals might cause a good distraction, but they get hurt as the smugglers are rounding them up,” Valkris’ thought as she put the plan into simple terms and made sure everything was in order.

“So the break down of this plan is as follows,” she began.

“First, Tyra creates a tracker we can remotely plant and keep tabs on the smugglers. Second, we contact the Black Sparrow crew and persuade them to in helping us. Then we create a mysterious buyer who sends them to smuggle it back home,” Valkris took a breath as she continued.

“We’re all hidden among the ship, either in or out of plain sight. One of us will need to place the tracker on a non-order cage in order to follow it. ”

She turned to the others to confirm if they understood or disagreed with this plan.

“Sound about right?”

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

“Essentially, we attempt to track an animal that will lead us to the heart of their operation. And we’ll get in by posing as smugglers. It sounds like a good plan to me. I can attempt to contact Captain Conrad and see if we can secure his help while Miss Schroll works on that tracker.” Dawson kept his wits about him. How had he managed to get dragged into this? All with just a simple trip to the zoo.
