[snip]“Essentially, we attempt to track an animal that will lead us to the heart of their operation. And we’ll get in by posing as smugglers. It sounds like a good plan to me. I can attempt to contact Captain Conrad and see if we can secure his help while Miss Schroll works on that tracker.” Dawson kept his wits about him. How had he managed to get dragged into this? All with just a simple trip to the zoo.

Tyra gave a small smile “Give me about 30 minutes to an hour for the tracker. I like the idea of us posing as smugglers as well. Whatever we find, we need to be prepared to fight our way out.” She said as she sat down at a computer in the building and began working on getting a working tracker made that was unnoticable.

“I’ll stop by my apartment, check on my half-brother and my nephew. I can also pick up my blades as I have a feeling, I’ll need them,” Valkris stated as she prepared to head toward the building’s exit. She paused part way out then paused to look at the two.
“We should likely get things ready before our departure, we won’t have time when this mission gets underway.”

Tyra nodded “I’ll keep working on these trackers.” She said “I have a few more things that I need to do to them to make sure that they are working.”

Valkris paced quickly cross the docking bay floor. Her eyes scanned each ship’s id and pressed a few buttons at the nearest console. She followed the given directions, precision in each step.
The scar makeup across her right eye became irritated, but she resisted picking at it. It was necessary to keep her hidden in plain sight. She would be lying if she didn’t admit her pride hated this, but she couldn’t risk someone identifying her from the sewers. They all agreed to hide their appearance in one way or another because any hints of sabotage would set off the smugglers and ruin their plans.
It had taken some time to convince the Black Sparrow captain to help, but in the end, it turned out well. She suspected he had a soft spot for suffering animals so any critter onboard would get fat and spoiled.
Theirs made up ‘buyer’ had purchased a pair of Calikins. They were rare small mammalian creatures described by humans to be a cross between some type of feline and iguanas. They made a popular pet and because of it, their numbers declined in their natural habitat. Now they were illegal to own outside zoo breeding programs.
She pushed them out of her mind when she approached the ship, the destination they were all supposed to meet. Naturally, she arrived last since they all agreed not to come together.

Tyra was waiting, her own make up irritating her face but she looked severe, she had a few makeup bruises on her face that made it appear that she had been in a tussle with something, and would give one the opportunity to wonder what the other party looked like.
The animals had been tagged with the trackers and they were ready for pretty much anything.
