“Then, it is time to make offerings to the Builder and prepare for battle.” K’vorth said, and stood, looking at his brother from his uncovered eye. “I will prepare the ceremony, Brother. Make your way to the chamber when you are ready for the blessing of Kvaar’ton.” Nodding at Pangolin, K’vorth turned at exited the room, turning to head deeper into the bowels of the wreck of a vessel they called home.

K’vorth, Son of House Duroc

Urg nodded and said “I will be there, brother.” and looked at Pangolin. “Juuv will send their House representative to speak with a government representative. They will ensure that they are far clear of any violence and are in the presence of those who can vouch for them… cowards that they are, they will not fight face to face. Once they are in the presence of your officials to discuss the Holy Relic, they will send a signal to their ship and the assassins will leave and come looking for us… and probably try to blow up our ship again.” he added as an almost after thought.

“Now… I have an idea that would keep all of this not only away from your people, but give your government a way of remaining neutral and not involved… officially , at least. But it would require your help, and that of your superior.”

Urg’Tohn, Warrior of the Builder.

Pangolin lowered his glass of Bloodwine slowly “And what plan have you formulated” He asked curiously.

Urg smiled. “Meet with Juuv’s representatives. Allow them into the office or conference or wherever you would hold such meetings. But block all comm signals while they are inside. While they will think their signal has gone out, it won’t. The assassins will remain on board. Tell them during that meeting that you want to inspect their vessel. They will claim, as they always do, that their ship is ‘sovereign territory’ or some such drivel. They do that to keep their assassins from being discovered. My brothers and I will enter their ship and kill them all. Inside their vessel. No one on Oed V will even have seen them. And as they will have insisted that their ship is outside of your jurisdiction, the deaths will have nothing to do with you or the people who live here. Your people would be protected, the assassins would be dead, and no one would be the wiser. And if by some miracle we fail and are killed ourselves? We broke into their ship and they defended themselves. And we are dead and all of this - ” and he gestured wildly around “- goes away.” Urg leaned forward, a wicked grin on his face. “So what say you, Inspector? Do you want to help us? Or do you wish to put more innocents at risk? Because one way or another… there is going to be blood today.”

Urg’tohn, Slayer of Heretical Assassins

Pangolins eyes narrowed at his suggestion. Such clandestine action would possibly require the Assistance of Starfleet Security and there was no chance they would be party to assassination. He took a moment to consider. A good long moment before coming to a decision “Alright, I don’t think we’ll have much of a problem with meeting them. They’ll want to meet with the leadership here and probably not Starfleet. The Commissioner won’t want the Governor directly involved or even aware of this at all. There are factors we will need to consider such as Starfleet’s involvement. The Starfleet Security Chief is a reasonable man but also extremely competent, you’ll need to work fast if you don’t want him to catch you in the act and intervene.” He thought out loud.

“I’ll leave it to the boss to decide how to deal with them” He continued “But how certain are you they won’t simply call out the assassins before we have a chance to block their coms, presumably we’ll only be able to do so when we have them in a single stationary location?” He asked.

Urg chuckled. It was good question. “Because they want to make sure that they have a perfect alibi. Sitting in a meeting with your Commissioner would make sure that they cannot suspected. And this is how they have always operated. Their ‘reputation’ is more important to them than making sound tactical decisions. Yet another reason they are not worthy of the holdings bestowed upon their House.” he growled. “They will also want to verify our presence before they commit their agents. They will do that with innocuous and innocent sounding questions regarding ‘other Klingons’ or mentioning of our standing with the Council.”

Urg

From the bowels of the ship, a great vibration shook the deck and walls as a low hum filled their senses. It was like a great leveling hammer had struck the floor decking, and knowing these Klingons it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. The vibration however lasted, it set each bulkhead and deck plate set about it’s own vibrational tone that created, almost a ceremonial like hum throughout the entire ship.

Urh would know that K’vorth had begun the preparation for battle, according to the old customs and was even at that moment, oiling their blades with a mixture of oil and his own blood.

K’vorth, Son of House Duroc

Pangolin looked down at the vibrating hull. He was fairly certain he knew what was going on below decks “Alright, I’ll bring the plan to my boss, He’ll agree to it if it saves lives. But what’s to stop them from sending another ship full of assassins or try to hire anyone else for the job?”

DCI Pangolin

Urg stood up and laughed. “Why, my brothers and I find the D’k tahg of Lord Marshall Pr’Kenth! It is here, on Oed V, somewhere. With it, we prove House Juuv is a betrayer and fraud. We reclaim our House, take their lands and holdings, leave them with nothing! They won’t have the ability to hire a Gorn stripper, let alone an assassin!” and he laughed harder.

As the vibrations grew louder and faster, Urg’tohn looked at Pangolin. Reaching into his belt, he retrieved a old and well-worn communicator. Flipping it open, it made a ‘chirp-chirp-chirp’ sound. Closing it, he handed it to Pangolin. “Use this to signal me when Juuv sits down and you have their signal blocked. It is so old, most modern jamming systems overlook it’s fairly weak signal. When I hear from you, we will eliminate the assassins. I will notify you when the deed is finished. I do have a question for you. Where will you be meeting Juuv?”

Urg’tohn, Son of House Duroc

Pangolin eyed the communicator with great amusement. Such a museum piece was hardly commonplace these days. Frankly, he was surprised it was in working order. it would seem that their technology, much like the Klingons themselves, ran solely through sheer force of will. “I’m not certain, I doubt we’ll take them to the Government Tower and police stations they would probably consider insulting.” He leaned back in his seat “They might be easier to deal with in the Commissioners home or perhaps one of his brother’s establishments, a Bar or restaurant. Maybe his Hotel” He took a sip from his cup whilst absentmindedly stroking the old communicator “I don’t have the experience the Commissioner does with dealing with the Klingon houses. I mostly either shot at them or with them. You know Juuv, what are they expecting hospitality wise…” He smiled slightly “Just how arrogant are they exactly?”
