Tyra was waiting, her own make up irritating her face but she looked severe, she had a few makeup bruises on her face that made it appear that she had been in a tussle with something, and would give one the opportunity to wonder what the other party looked like.

The animals had been tagged with the trackers and they were ready for pretty much anything.

OOC: Just so we are all clear, as it appears that we may have been mixed up. Conrad, Kanok, and Valkris are there to obtain 2 animals. The CE and Dawson will be there posing with them, but keeping to the background. Once we are led to the heart of the operation, Dawson and Tyra will then go off to tag other animals as well. Hope this helps clarify for everyone! :)

IC: Conrad had finally shown up with his silent klingon first mate. They dressed in their typical mercenary garb. They were known in these parts to make deliveries and such. They would also be known here.

Dawson also showed up as scheduled in merc clothes as well. He was dressed for the occassion and armed with type 1 phaser hidden in his boot, and a pair of nunchucks hidden inside his jacket. Whether he got away with it was anyone’s guess. If they asked, he would show them. Honesty usually showed others he wasn’t afraid of them.

Once all were present, Captain Conrad spoke up. “So, you have the coordinates?” he said in a low voice. Even though people knew who he was, smuggling was still technically against the law. For now, his cover held.

Valkris nodded, “Yep. I’ll show you inside the ship. It’s… more private.”

Her eyes scanned the docks crowds, looking for anyone that stood out. Someone lingering toLong in one place or appearing to be eavesdropping on. their conversation. Her posture stiffened as she found no spies, but didn’t trust the open area. She waited for him to lead the way, expecting everyone to follow. They needed to go over their game plan one last time. Any mistakes and it wouldn’t be them that pay the price, but the animals. Valkris intended to avoid that at all costs.

Tyra fell in behind Valkris and Conrad, keeping her head down as if looking at a PaDD in her hand. She was confident that they would be successful, however it was going to be rather hairy…dealing with mercs was never an easy thing and they were definitely a paranoid lot.

Conrad led them all inside the Black Sparrow to the lounge. There were plenty of security measures there to keep any prying eyes or ears away.

Kanok gestured to a series of chairs as Dawson took a hesitant seat.

“All security measures are being taken. Katrina has the ship on lockdown. Let’s hear it Valkris,” stated Conrad as he took a leisurely seat down.

When Valkris finally entered the Black Sparrow, she realized she had been holding her breath for far too long. She let out an overdue exhale while she followed Kanok into the lounge. Her eyes flicked over the familiar area, having spent some time here in the past. The security officer shrugged the memory off before she turned to Conrad.

She placed the device onto the table than pressed a button. A holovid popped out with the coordinates on the screen, Valkris’ voice began to explain.

“They want you to meet them in the underground tunnels. The coordinates, as far as I can tell, are a few buildings from the docks itself. There’s going to be a small group to even out the numbers,” She shifted and bit her lip, her eyes looking at her original companions who got caught up in this investigation.

“They did seem to amp up their manpower. I spotted about double the number from last time.”

She inhaled then continued.

“They expect me to accompany you there, to ensure the trade-off is legit and the client gets their product. The animals will likely be sedated, but there’s little way to tell how long the creatures will be out for. So we need to move fast or we’ll bring more suspicion on ourselves.”

A moment passed to allow questions to be asked.

OOC: And the second Bump, everything all right guys? If none of the characters have questions, I can fast forward to the mission and move things along. I just need confirmation that it’s needed or wanted.

-Janice B.

Conrad spoke up. “So, Valkris, you’ll accompany Kanok and I to the designated pickup for the animals. Meanwhile, Mr. Dawson and Ms. Schroll here will try to sneak in someway, tag some of the animals, and quickly get out?”

Dawson was listening intently and nodded. That was the plan as far as he knew. “If that’s so, is there a good location for Tyra and I to sneak in?” inquired Dawson.

-Michael Conrad, Black Sparrow CO
-Dawson, Owner of Secret Securities

“Yes,” Valkris confirmed then considered something.

She pulled up the device’s mapping system when it was plugged into the ship’s computer. It showed a vast system of interconnecting tunnels, some registered on the public record and most not. Slight awe washed over her at the data as it shortly replaced with concern for safety reasons. The smugglers, while thorough, hadn’t fully found out where every single tunnel went.

Valkris pointed to a small ventilation pipeline that leads off from the main route they would be taking the animals back to.

“There. They have it barricaded, but only with a few boards. Since it connects to the air purification system, they assumed no one would risk the high winds and smooth pipe. Do you have any gear to make the crawl less of a challenge.” She looked toward the captain for his statement, feeling he might have something.

Tyra shook her head “There isn’t too much of an incline on that line.” She said “And the fan will cover most of our movement.” She added “We can use a small tool to remove the wood and put it back if needed.”
