Concusion: Where No Man...

Posted May 22, 2019, 12:22 p.m. by Civilian Michael "One" Halloway (Governor) (Tony Findora)

The events that unfolded outside the dome were nothing short of confusing.

Michael Halloway sat in his office as he ready over the reports. He had known enough to know that the final showdown would be anything but simple. Ylana had put her very lift in the forefront of it all.

What was troubling though were the events that unfolded after they had decided to trap this Leamas. Ylana was the bait and it had apparently worked. Meanwhile Archanon and a team of Starfleet officers were ready to spring a trap on the enemy.

According to the reports, there was discussion between Ylana and Leamas for a time before Ylana tried using her abilities on the creature. The details were far from descriptive. Nobody but Ylana truly knew what had been said and done. When the fighting had broken out, Starfleet had moved. The trap had been set, but not before Archanon put himself into harms way to help Ylana. Leamas, poised to destroy her for good, was taken aback when Archanon had revealed himself. The two alien entities squared off as Starfleet pushed the perimeter of the dilithium shield to close up.

Forced to continue fighting in a small enclosed area, Archanon fell. However, Leamas had also taken a brutal hit. Both were exhausted and barely able to continue. However, due to some stubborn factor on Leamas’s part, he decided to continue the fight.

The final report…both alien entities died.

None of the reports indicated that any reinforcements had been summoned, but Halloway could not help but wonder if that was a possibility. Would they be meeting more of the Kalidonians any time soon? Perhaps in the distant future?

Only time would tell. They had the coordinates of their homeworld, and the technical specifications to build an engine that would get them there in a jiffy. The question was, did they want to open up that avenue? The problem was, it was not entirely his decision to decide. Starfleet was required to know about it. They were better equipped anyway to handle a hostile situation, should the event arise.

He tossed the PADDs on his desk and stood, looking out onto the multiple districts of Oed. The second dome was still in the process of being built, but plenty of progress had been made already. With Ylana having resigned from Starfleet for now, he was left wondering where or what their family would do next. Oed was a home. You didn’t get home just anywhere.

He sighed and sent a message to the Lt. Governor, requesting his presence at his earliest convenience.
