Apollonia had decided to wander the shopping district while Longstreet was on duty. She wanted the lay of the land and to see what easy opportunities existed. She lifted a few credits off a man in one shop by befriending him, leaning in close while he purchased some things for his wife, making flirtatious small talk and using a cheap but effective scanner was able to get his biocode data when he made the purchase. She did not use it and he would not know it until she did. Eventually she would when she could not be captured on a scanner or camera.

She continued to browse hoping to run into someone with a little more influence just to see where it would get her.

Apollonia the Half Orion, swindler, hustler, thief and assassin once or twice..oh and the COS kinda girlfriend

Apollonia wandered into a bar in the entertainment district. It was early afternoon so she did not expect it to be full/ She knew from experience the real operators frequented these placed at these hours. If there was someone here that was involved in moving items to the black market then they would be either secretly in control of the place or have a “spot” within. All she had to do was find them.

As she went she was greeted with a dark establishment that was what would be a called average. A bar table around the edges and the bar on one wall. Even a dive would be a nice name for this place. However there were patrons at the bar and she noticed one man drinking slowly alone in a corner booth. Being intoxicating beautiful she knew she would need them to come to her. First the amateurs who she would get some credits out of while she “auditioned” for the real player or hidden players. So that is exactly what she started out doing.

OOC: I know we have a few bar owners and others running around. Feel free to join this side sim. Basically she is looking for a job to lift something and sell it to the black market.

Apollonia

A man in all black appeared from nowhere and sat with her. “Apolllonia. Without your handler at last. Is it handler, or boyfriend? Or both?” Nicholas let it sink in that he knew who she was, what she was, and who she associated with. “Information. If you don’t already have it, procure it.” He flashed a mini PaDD with a figure containing two commas in it. You’ll be duly rewarded.”

-Nicholas James, Section 31

Apollonia did not know exactly who the man was but he smelled like some kind of security agent. Surely not one of Preston’s because that was not how he operated and one of his men would be half mad to go behind his back to try a stunt like this. Maybe this guy was from a syndicate but his manner said otherwise.

“Sorry you have me mistaken for someone else.” She said even though she knew he had not. She needed to know what game he was playing at before she struck bargains. She operated on her own for the most part. A freelancer. She was not about to take up with a syndicate or worse, and intel agency.

Apollonia

Nicholas sighed. He tapped a few buttons on the PaDD. One button at the bottom was now illuminated red. “You placed two people in hiding. You have thirty seconds before their location lights up like a lantern. Or perhaps more accurately, a homing beacon for the syndicate looking for them.” From the coordinates displayed, he had he right location.

-Nicholas James, Section 31

OOC: I am not sure which two people you are referring to. Apollonia arrived alone and was running from some deals gone bad from a rather nasty syndicate. Unless I forgot something I wrote?

Sidney

OOC: I could’ve sworn there’s a deal gone bad in her past that involves a girl a syndicate wanted for inhumane reasons. Apallonia hid her… did I dream that?

-Sam

OOC: I don’t think so but what the heck I will go with it.
IC:

Apollonia did indeed break her last deal with a really mean syndicate to protect an innocent young girl and her mother who wrongly got caught up in her deal. In the aftermath a few of the syndicates men lay dead and they lost a considerable sum. Which she had stole for them and had a cut coming. She decided to save the two of them, leave them with some of the money and take the rest. Their were still currency other than digital in the Galaxy. She told them to be careful and exchange it slowly and she believed that had. She had spent next to nothing of hers. IN fact it was now hidden under everyone’s noses but she was smart. Spending it now would tip off the syndicate who was undoubtfully keeping a close eye on anyone selling this currency. IF this man thought he could hustle her he had another thing coming.

“You act as if I care. That is if I even know what your talking about. You think I haven’t cut people loose before.” She said staring straight at the man while remembering every facet of his face. Usually an Orion was intoxicating to a man but when they wanted they could turn those pheromones against you quickly. Invoking fear instead of lust.

Apollonia

Nicholas had been trained not to feel and the nanoprobes in his blood kept him relatively safe. Orion women still had their effects, but muted, relegated to the background. “It’s a shame. All you had to do was sell information on a gun runner. Negotiations are over.” He pressed the button. “Shall we watch them take her and kill her mother? Care to place a wager on if they take her alive?”

“It’s just a matter of time. She will die. Your hard headedness will have killed her. I can play this game all night Apallonia. Preston next?” he prodded, hoping to get a reaction.

-Nicholas James, Section 31

“Now I know you screwed up. Your Intelligence. If your stupid enough to make a threat you know you cannot fulfill then your stupid enough to kill people who have nothing to do with nothing. Ok I’m game. Put your pathetic little finger on the “don’t kill” button and spill what you want. Mark my words though. Longstreet has seen more of your kind and killed a few I wager. Save those innocents but by all means go after him. If he doesn’t get you the Lt. Governor will. That is a bet I will gladly take. By the way a criminal at any level is a business man. They don’t behave the way you just did. Only your type do. So work on your cover better, amateur.” Apollonia said while leaning toward him and smiling the whole time. If someone was watching they might even think the two were romantic. Except the small dagger that had emerged from her hand and tickled his ribs.

A good criminal would know honey worked better than vinegar but this clown had no idea which meant he was obviously government. Killing him now would be more trouble and plus she wanted to know what the clown wanted. Maybe there was something in it for her.

Apollonia

“And who, exactly, said I was under cover? Intelligence agencies can be just as much in the market for information, perhaps more so than criminals. I’ll give you a hint. It protects the Federation. But according to official documents, it doesn’t exist.”

-Nicholas James, Section 31

She pulled the dagger back but kept it close to her body and aimed toward him.

“I said get to it. What is it you want. Sector this and Sector that means nothing to me.” She said as she leaned back away from him in her seat. Her countenance had changed one of indifference.

Apollonia

“There’s a gun runner. He uses the black market alias Cassidy. Some time ago, he was found dead. With trace elements of foreign DNA on him. And while he was in cryostorage, he started selling again. I need a reliable lead on where he spends his time.” Nicholas motioned for the bartender. “Can I buy you a drink, while you think?”

-Nicholas James, Section 31

“Not thirsty.” She replied. ” I am not clear. He was killed, his body placed in cryo but now is selling again? You know that makes no sense right?”

Had she not understood him.

Apollonia

“You are either being intentionally dense, or you actually can’t do the math. Of course a dead man isn’t selling guns. Someone using his likeness is. Apollonia, I know you’re not an idiot. Except for the fact that you seem to think Longstreet is untouchable.” An alert beeped on his PaDD. He tapped a few buttons. Two faces, familiar to Apollonia, appeared. A woman dressed in black approached the two figures and shot them both. Quick. Efficient. No questions asked. The screen went dark. “Now. Where were we?”

-Nicholas James, Section 31

OOC: This is getting confusing. Cryostorage is for the living. A morgue is for the dead. Then you refer back to this person as ‘he’ which implies it is him because if it is a replacement it could be a he/she or it I suppose. So “he” could have been brought back out of cryostorage but you clearly said he was dead. Do you see what I am getting at.

Also who was just killed? She clearly agreed to listen and told him there was no need to kill anyone. Plus am I missing this guys back story some. Intel is still SF and though they do kill innocents in the same way as modern intel agencies do they are not just authorized to kill innocents a la carte. Am I missing something?

Sidney

OOC: Sorry. I was trying to imply that the two people threatened earlier were the people seen onscreen. I was hoping Apollonia might ask why he was in cryostorage. They “put the body on ice” where they could keep an eye on it, because according to sources, a dead man was still selling guns. Section 31 authorised Nicholas to use whatever leverage necessary to get intel on this person. What Apollonia doesn’t know is that it is suspected that a Reman spy has been using a holodisguise and making this gunrunner his cover to infiltrate OED.

-Sam

OOC: Ok I got it and can respond to the first part accordingly. However just FYI by killing the two people he just sold his leverage and as such she has no reason to listen anymore. I will respond tomorrow.

Sidney

She looked cool at this man. He had just blown any leverage he had with her. She got up, looked at him coldly and walked away to exit.

Appollonia

“No one is untouchable.” With that, Nicholas disappeared as quickly as he had appeared to begin with.
