When the man turned away, Valkris stepped closer to the creatures. She subtly flicked her fingers behind her back for Conrad to join her there and assist in examining them. When he came close enough, she whispered to him.

“We’re pushing it, so after this, we need to leave.” She tried to be vague in case someone overheard their conversation.

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

OOC: One last bump with this, then I’m wrapping this up.
-Janice B.

Tyra and her charge had managed to get out of the tunnels without notice and headed back to Conrad’s place so that she could patch up the guys arm.

CE

OOC: All right, going to wrap this up folks. At least give us some interaction time before I do. Altering the title so we’re back on the ship.

IC: Valkris and Conrad wrapped up their business. The animals were sedated and loaded, the payment being finalized. None of the thugs seemed the wiser while the pair made their way back to the ship. When they got onboard, Valkris looked to Tyra and the others.

“Did you guys managed to tag all the animals or most of them?” She asked.

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

OOC: Currently waiting for Tyra.
-Janice B.

Conrad was on the bridge of the Black Sparrow, prepping her for launch. Dawson managed to get aboard just in time.

“They’re tagged. But not without some minor hiccups,” said Dawson as he gestured to the injured man the CE had brought aboard. “Hopefully that did the trick. How were things on your end?”

-Michael Conrad, Black Sparrow CO
-Dawson, Owner of Secret Securities

“Rough at first. We had issues with trust, but that’s expected. I think someone noticed things were off. Thankfully no alarms went off, and we managed to pick up the cargo. They weren’t in the best of conditions, but the zookeepers will please to have them back.” Valkris smiled, pleased with how easily things went considering their mission.

“Next comes the fun part, alerting the proper channels and ensuring our hard work isn’t going to waste.”

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

OOC: Bump.
-Janice B.

“And what channels would those be?” asked Conrad curiously as his fingers flitted over the controls allowing the Black Sparrow to make it’s leave.

“I would assume Local Police? Maybe Starfleet?” said Dawson as he assumed Valkris would make her own case. She was the one in charge of it anyway. Dawson had been the extra muscle and assistance really.

-Michael Conrad, Black Sparrow CO
-Dawson, Owner of Secret Securities

“I’m leaning to Starfleet. We don’t know how much pull the smugglers have with the local police. They could have higher government connections to make this disappear. Including us.”

Valkris hated that she sounded like a conspiracy nut. She wasn’t a paranoid individual by nature, but she couldn’t ignore the possibilities. The smugglers manged to continue their illegal operations this long without authorities’ interference. This couldn’t be simple coincidence. Her jawline tightened as she looked through one of the viewing windows. Gratitude washed over her to see the ship start to take off and leave this affair behind. Yet, the work had just begun.

-Ensign Valkris MacLaren, Sec

Dawson nodded in approval. “That makes sense. But rest assured, nobody, and I mean nobody will cause any of us to disappear so long as I’m here.” There was a hint of determination in his voice where normally he would be well composed. There was much more to Dawson then what met the eye.

Conrad on the other hand, sighed aloud. “Of course, Starfleet. Well, ladies and gents, go take a seat. We’ll be docked soon enough. Just going to make a small trip out of the system to make sure they think we truly left. Then we’ll head back to the Oed Orbiatal Platform.”

-Michael Conrad, Black Sparrow CO
-Dawson, Owner of Secret Securities

OOC: All right, I think this SIM is all done. I’ll give everyone a few days to wrap up anything they want and I’ll post a ‘summary’ of the aftermath. I’m happy to have you all played though this with me and it was very fun. ^-^

-Janice B.

OOC: I really enjoyed this Janice! It took awhile given our different varying schedules, but I really enjoyed it! If you want to run something new, feel free to let me know. I would say Valkris at this point has some good rapport with Dawson, and Conrad will likely lend you a helping hand too. ;)
