Logan watched as the planet slowly rotated beneath him. The ship he was in was the SS Corydon and was a former Freighter he bought from the Ferengi. He loved it for his ‘business’ as it was spacious and he could keep all of his goods hidden within and no one would ever know.

He stepped back into the small transporter he installed off the bridge, beaming down to the colony, just outside one of the bars.

Logan waited a few minutes, and after determining that no one was going to challenge him, he slipped into the bar. This particular establishment was in the shadier part of town, and catered more towards the kind of people Logan typically dealt with.

He pressed his right elbow into the messenger bag slung across his body, he had a customer’s request–a rather valuable one at that–in that bag, and he needed to ensure it was safe. At his left thigh, just within reach of his left hand, was a Klingon Dk’Tagh knife. He’d won it years ago in a fight with a Klingon, and considering the injury he suffered left him with limited mobility in his right shoulder, it was his method of self defense.

He quietly surveyed the room, soon spotting the dark-skinned human he was looking for. Sliding up to an empty seat at the bar, he pulled his bag up and put it down between them. “You got the payment?” He asked, his hand never leaving the tan colored bag, watching the man next to him.

After a few moments, the man slid a leather envelope to Logan, who looked inside. There was a large number of chip-like coins inside, Logan narrowed his eyes, pulling the bag back. “This is not what we talked about, Garret. It was five thousand, this isn’t even half!” He was doing his best to not raise his voice, he didn’t need getting caught.

“I’ll give you the rest when I have it.” Garret said, reaching for the bag. In one fluid motion, Logan stood up, spinning around in the process, this allowed him to slip the bag over his shoulder and pull his knife at the same time, pointing it at the other man.

“Don’t toy with me, Garret. My family has given you chance after chance to change your ways, and you never do. I’m not going to get scammed like my father.” Logan said, eyes whipping around to survey the room. He had a clear path out–for now. The moment he moved he knew Garret’s two goons–who’d been watching him since he entered the building–would be on him. And that could end badly.

So he went for a backup plan, he pulled a small trinket he’d picked up from his travels, and wound it up, dropping it on the ground. The key-wound mouse would scamper around the room scaring everyone, as Logan used the distraction to slip outside.
