If she was in her office, he would be meeting with the Head of Mining for the first time. He wanted to start making relationships and getting things started to get his true objective off the ground. He arrived at her office and buzzed to let her know he was there.

Bri heard the chime and shook her head. “Come on in…” she laughed as the door slid open. “But it’s at your own risk.”
The office was just like you would expect from a miner. PaDDs were everywhere, some with rocks, stones or containers of dirt on them. Others had various and assorted objects. There was no rhyme or reason to the chaos to an outsider. It looked like someone had miscellaneously scattered a case of PaDDs then a child ha come in bearing ‘gifts’ that included everything from rocks to broken pottery. Bree was behind the desk, half bent over it. Her wild mane of light colored fire was half out of it’s bun that had probably not even been meticulous at the start of the day. She looked up as the man walked in, taking him in with a slight cock of his head. “If you are here to claim the new mine at the cliffs as some place you had found ages ago but ‘meant’ to claim, too bad. As I told everyone else, it’s been claimed and that’s the end of it.”
She stood up and crossed her arms, her frame, nearly his height and build, was slightly less angular than his own. She could give off a formidable presence, most could guess. But right now, she just wanted to know why he was there.

Fire Born“No, I’m not taking claim to anything, I’m new to the place, and just introducing myself to everyone, and meeting the locals and setting up some business stuff. You ever got the time, I have a store opening called ‘The Keep’” He told her.
Issac Ducante Jr.-SmugglerShe frowned slightly. “The Keep, huh? Well I think shopping is great, and all. But what kinds of things are you hoping to deal with? I can tell you now, if I see artifacts from any species and I don’t see the acquisition and shipping docs FIRST, I can tell you I will be sure it’s reported.” She shook her head and nodded to the seat across her desk. “Have a seat and tell me what your plans are and how my Mining plays into it.” She had been gruff to begin with. But then, seeming to realize she was jumping to conclusions, she settled to a more amiable demeanor.

Fire Born“Of course, everything I’m going to be selling will have been brought here, and legally obtained. Which is why I’m here. You are in charge of the mines, I’m sure you dig up some pretty unique things, and some usual items, I am asking to buy some of the items you find to sell at the shop. Could consider it a way to get tourists interested in what you find.” He said.
Issac Ducante Jr. smugglerBree nodded. “I am sure things are dug up quite frequently. But I would have to check with sciences and the Governor before I could let anything go. If it’s part of a major archeological find, I cannot just put them out to sell. I hope you understand. So things from the mines would be few and far between. And I would ask that anything you get that seems ‘too good to be true’, comes thru me or the science offices to be sure you weren’t duped. There are a lot of folks out here who would take advantage and you wouldn’t even know.”

Fire Born“No, I understand that, and that’s not exactly what I’m asking for. I’m asking for things like pieces of unrefined dilithium, coal, stone, things you would find in abundance at any mine. I can take, pay for, and make a small profit. For example, Humans, before they discovered the Warp drive, would sell these rocks, and tell others it came from the moon that orbits their planet, because at that time, that was as far into space they had traveled. So, tourists visiting can buy these things as a reminder of their trip to OED V. Hopefully that makes sense, and is more of a reasonable request.

Rusty ((thanks… lost the thread))Brianna smiled. “Well, I won’t make any promises. I’ll have to put it before the Lieutenant Governor and make sure he’s fine with it. If so, then we can discuss what percentage of stuff you can purchase from the Mining Division. How does that sound?” She laughed as she added, “And I’ll see to it you get a good price so your profit margin isn’t so low cause of resale. How’s that?” She knew the man was part Farengi under that human exterior. Most smugglers were.

Fire Born“That sounds great. I hope they are fine with it. I am excited to get this store off the ground now that I’m here.” He told her.
Issac Ducante Jr. smugglerBrianna nodded and stood up, coming around and offering her hand as she smiled. “Well then, I will take this proposal to the Lieutenant Governor and see what he says. I should have a contract for you in the next day or two. That acceptable?” She hoped he’d say yes, because any other answer would mean he’d probably lose out.
