Urg sat on the bed in his quarters of his ship and pulled on his boot, stomping it to set the heel. Standing up, he pulled a thick leather coat on and then then raked his hands through his hair and pulled the mass of unkept black together into a ponytail that he tied with an elastic band with a bright yellow bead on it. On the bead was a ‘happy face’.

He walked out the door and down the passage and into the conference room. Inside, his ‘delegation’ had already assembled. The Andorian that had comm’d the Lieutenant Governor, a Klingon with a purple hand-print stain on the left side of his face, a Bolian, and a Ferengi. Urg looked at them all, dressed in the armor of House Duroc, and he grinned. “Glad to see all of you. Everyone eat their fill? Good. Everyone sober?” and he grinned more wickedly. “Mostly.” and he laughed loudly. “All right. Let’s go see how these stuffed-shirt bureaucrats handle House Duroc.” and the assemblage laughed and stood. Walking out the door, Urg paused and looked over his shoulder. “I don’t know this Lieutenant Governor. But Karlson is family. You will show him respect. Undrrstood?” The only response was a unison slamming of their fists against their chests. Urg grunted in acknowledgment and they made their way to the shuttle bay.

A half-hour later, they arrived at the docks. Boarding a large taxi, the ‘contingent’ made their way to the Hekla Hotel and entered the building through the service entrance.

Urg, Son of the Builder, Lord Duroc

Meanwhile Xavier was in his Starfleet Class A Uniform. A little over dressed but the man he was going to meet was in effect a dignitary. He got into his official transport, with two SF security personnel with him and made his way to pick up O’Harra and then meet Karlson at the entrance of the hotel. He already had been informed that SF Security had secured the area around the hotel for his arrival and were giving an all clear.

Xavier Lt Gov

Brianna was waiting at his office as he arrived. “Hello, Sir.” She smiled and nodded as she saw him and an eyebrow went up at the fact he was in dress uniform.

The Lt. Governor smiled.
“You look great Ms. O’Harra. I hope I am not overdressed but its protocol since like it or not he is a Klingon High Council member. Shall we?” He said indicated his arm.

“To be honest, I’m not sure if you are over dressed or I am under dressed. But I was granted a nickname from the man and I tend to live up to every miniscule detail of it, if possible.” She laughed wondering if that was even possible.

The Starfleet personnel were met with several uniformed police officers and the officer in charge given Command of the scene. At the main entrance stood a short man in a dark suit, Xavier would recognise him as the Commissioners personal Bodyguard. He bowed slightly at the Lieutenant Governors arrival. Next to him was a slightly taller Efrosian Woman with long dark hair and a pair of odd-looking spectacles that hid her eyes “Welcome to the Hekla Hotel, Lieutenant-Governor Xavier. I am Hita Ni-Ralei, head of Hotel Security, you can have your people set up in my Command room, The Commissioner is waiting for you on the Penthouse floor, your guests will be let in at your discretion.” She took a step to the side “Mr Oh here will escort you and Miss O’Hara to the top” The short man bowed once more and turned around.

Ni-Ralei & Mr. Oh

Xavier smiled. “Thank you very much. He knew the body guard well enough to be relatively at ease. He motioned for his men to set up as he and O’Harra went forward.

Xavier

Since Xavier seemed at ease with the set up, Brianna had nothing to add. Joining him as they were escorted in, she smiled. “You do realize the man will probably not come thru the front door. And if he does, I doubt the guard there will be prepared for the pomp and circumstance that Urg will likely stir up.” She wished she could be at the front door when Urg arrived. She could imagine quite the dust up in anyone slighted him or his entourage.

At that moment, the thought of his companion, K’let, crossed her mind. She was curious how Urg would be dressed. More curious, still, at what she would wear.

The short man in the dark suit escorted Xavier and O’Harra to a small lift to the side of the lobby. It took a biometric hand reading from the bodyguard before moving, according to the panel it seemed to only go straight between the top suite and the lobby, some sort of a private lift. “We are prepared for that” He said simply.

After less than a minute they had arrived on the top floor of the building. The lift opened in a small hallway with a single door at the end. The walls had several photographs of mountains and hills, on was a snow-covered mountain with two horses in the foreground, on the plaque under it was the word ‘Hekla’. The man opened the door revealing a large corner room. The windows were open revealing an excellent view from the Commercial district, in the distance, the Government tower could be seen. The floor lowered half a step into a sunken sitting area, the entire square had a sofa with several coffee tables around, in one Corner the recognizable figure of the Police Chief sat, full moon spectacles on his face, a physical book copy in his hand. His wooden cane was lying next to him. On the table to his side was an open wooden box with a necklace, it had a thick chain and a pendant with the markings of the house of Duroc, next to it was a small cup of coffee.

Without looking up Joseph addressed the pair “Welcome to the Hekla Hotel” He lowered his book and looked up, that familiar grandfatherly smile greeting the pair “Please have a seat, would you like something to drink or eat?” He asked “When Urg and his… companions arrive there will be plenty of food brought forward but most of it will be Klingon, most people don’t enjoy watching Klingons eat on an empty stomach” He stood up, placing the closed book on the sofa and grabbing the cane, he walked towards the Lieutenant Governor first with a raised hand “Or a full stomach for that matter” He said with a half smile.

Commissioner Karlson

“Cheese and bread and a bottle of Whiskey, high shelf.” The Lt Gov said.

In the lower levels, Urg made his way to the freight elevators. As expected, Karlson had two officers in plain clothes waiting. Urg chuckled and said “The man will never let me get one by him, will he?” and he patted one of the officers on the shoulder as he walked past. The contingent filled the large space and doors slid closed and took them up to the top floor.

Making his way to the designated room, Urg threw the doors open and walked in and looked around. Spying the waiting ‘guests’, he walked in the room and smiled at Brianna. “Fire Born! Good to see you.” and his gaze fell on Karlson. “Joseph, my brother!” and he walked over and gave the Commissioner a big bear hug. “I trust your exquisite spouse is in good health and temperment.” and he released him and then turned and looked down at the Lieutenant Governor. “You must be Xavier, the Lieutenant Governor. Good to meet you.” and he snapped his fingers. “Oh hell, almost forgot.” and he pointed to the Andorian with the purple handprint stain on his face. The blue-skinned figure moved to Karlson and set a small metal case on the floor next to him. Urg said “Thats for later. No sense ruining a good dinner with friends, old and new.” and on the last word he turned to the Lieutenant Governor and held out a truly massive hand towards him.

Urg, Lord Duroc, Son of the Builder

Xavier did not like the idea of eating Klingon but he had done a little before. If he needed to he could. He looked at the large Klingon.

“Well met Urg, Son of the Builder and House of Duroc.” He said loudly and clasped the hand with a strong grip. Knowing he would lose he still tried to crush the Klingons hand in a sort of duel of strength.
