The Captain had decided to do several shifts on the SP and had sent for Lt. Martinez his aide to come. He had a large office on the SP and a smaller cabin residence there as well. Martinez was a very effective yeoman and and very intelligent. She guarded his agenda like a wolf. He had taken a liking to her and tried to disguise his physical attraction to her as it would be unprofessional in his opinion.
She was a Lt. Jg and had earned her rank in the Administrative Core as a young, no nonsense assistance. Getting the position as the assistant to the Lt. Gov of Oed and the highest ranking SF official in the sector was a coup for her. However she handled it like a pro and he respected that.
“Lt. I will be walking the port. Can you locate Lt. Cmd Longstreet?” He requested.
“I already have Sir. He is on the SP. He did not announce his arrival and seems to be busy in the Security Office.” She answered.
She was guessing his own mind again and getting it right.
“Very well. I will be back before the duty shift ends.” He replied.
“I will be here Sir.” She replied back.
He already knew that. Martinez never left before he did no matter the hour. He wondered how badly this impacted her personal life. If she even had one.
