Kristina nodded. “I have a couple appointments to look over apartments and am hoping one of them works out, but either way I’ll sort it out I guess.” It wasn’t like Halai was here and she could crash at the villa. She missed that place, it had been a serene sanctuary, well, at least until someone had abducted her and attacked Halai. That seemed like a lifetime ago though.
“Any restrictions on where the recommendations come from? Like, what’s your preference for who I should ask?”

Reniad nodded, “Well we are in the middle of a semester so you have time. You were a resident here before, yes? I ask because if you can establish a permanent residence and not a hotel, and find record of your previous residency, your tuition will be free. As for recommendations we ask for 1 personal and 1 professional and the third is your choice as long as none are immediate family.”

“I was a resident, yes. I lived with my sister, Halai Cosgrove, the former Head of Science & Terraforming, back when it was a single department. And then when I did my 2-year diploma, I was living in student residence. It should all be in my file.” Name dropping yes, but it was true. And her sister had been very well known around the colony when she had worked here, not the least being that for a long time she had still be in Starfleet while being a member of Oed V’s cabinet. An unusual position back then. More so now.
“I’ll get the references to you as soon as I can, along with proof of residency.” Kristina couldn’t help the gleam in her eyes, hinting at the true excitement she was feeling. Knowing that this was all possible made her want it all that much more.
