Warned of their impending arrival, the staff in the ER were ready for the emergency transport of the two individuals that had just been taken out of stasis.

“Female, half-Tyrellian, half-Human, projectile weapon injury to the abdomen. Pressure is 75 over 60 and falling. Pulse Ox at 82.”
“She’s tanking, get a blood cross-match and get them to replicate enough for mass transfusion protocol.”
“Whoa!” one of the nurses said as she arrived on the scene, wide-eyed. And then she swore even as she looked confused. “That’s, no, it can’t be!”
“What?” one of the ER docs, Nevin, said.
“She’s a dead ringer for Halai Cosgrove. But she doesn’t have any of the tattoos.”
“Who?”
“Cosgrove. Former head of Terraforming. You know, the former Starfleet one.”
The tech who went off the handle the blood rushed back. “No can do on blood. She’s Tyrellian, or least half. They need additional proteins or she’ll reject the blood, especially with her mixed genetics.”
“Where the hell are we supposed to get those? She needs surgery and we can’t stabilize her until we get some damn blood!”

Meanwhile, another team was looking over Akem aware that he was likely to wake up anytime now. “His condition is stable. Look him over carefully for any smaller injuries we might miss.”

Back at Halai’s bed, the staff were momentarily stumped until Nevin spoke up. “Cosgrove. What would they have done for her in this instance?”
“They would have had proteins in storage stasis.”
“But she never came back, did they send everything to her on Tyrellia?”
“No idea.”
“Someone go find out!” Nevin said.

Meanwhile, the scans showed several things: not only did the bullet cause damage to multiple organs, but the system spat back an ID alert: Halai Cosgrove.

In a non-descript warehouse away from Sacred Heart, Eryn sat at a computer console, with multiple monitors and watched. She hated these days. She’d rather be in the field working than watching it. But it served a purpose and it was her turn. Her eyes darted back and forth across the screens watching the comings and goings around Oed, when the computer beeped and flashed and blinked at her. Halai Cosgrove? A quick look told her it was pinged from the hospital. Well that wasn’t good for Halai Cosgrove. “And vhy my dear is your name pinging my alarms? Hmm?” Turning to the key board Eryn initiated a search.
