Starport - Arrival of Nathan Carlisle

Posted May 26, 2022, 8:43 p.m. by Civilian Nathan Carlisle (Archeologist) (Tony Findora)

Nathan Carlisle stepped off the docking platform, his old leather bag full of various odds and ends he kept with him at all times. A couple specialized PADDs, a few physical books, and a small notebook for himself weighed the bag down over shoulder. The starport felt much different than other orbital stations he had boarded. His sense soaked in the bustling people. Starfleet officers were milling about assisting where needed and assisting in security measures. Oed Starport personnel were working various stations, keeping the flow of incoming people moving. Outgoing civilians and starfleet personnel moved past, not in a terrible hurry. Incoming guests and residents were desperate to get to the surface.

Oed V was seeing a new era of growth. A new shield was put in place over the planet, and the terrarforming department was doing their best to see the rest of the world in a habitable state once more. What drew Nathan to Oed however, was the prospect of discovering new civilizations…of the past. He was an archaeologist and thoroughly enjoyed discovering new information on ancient races. History that had been recorded but long forgotten in the depths underneath what came after thrilled him. He certainly enjoyed listening to the stories of people in the present. Their lives were a testament to their survival. But the stories of those long gone were gold to him. What secrets lie hidden on Oed V? Nathan was eager to find out.

However, for the time being he had to get situated on the surface. He was here not only as an archaeologist, but also as a professor for the new university on Oed. It was a prime place for students to get hands on experience at discovering stories of old.

Nathan strolled up to the next available customs station with a slight grin minorly visible through his beard.
