Hyrushi bowed his head in response and said “When silence is again a necessity, know that it is a possibility. You simply need to ask. Good day, Doctor.”

A moment later the runabout lifted off the roof and soared out of sight.

When the shuttle landed on the arrival pad it caused a stir within the hospital. The pad was used for emergency shuttles transporting patients. Sharah hurried across the pad and inside the building. Moving quickly past the response team that had headed for the pad when the shuttle landed. She paused only long enough to tell them that, no there was no patient. The sight of Dr Fayth exiting, in a rather becoming dress and hurring into the hospital....without a patient…was a curiosity. That meant everyone in the hospital knew about it in a matter of half an hour. Yavia and Ilena knew within minutes. The benefits of being a telepath.

Sharah had barely closed the door on her office, heading for the small cabinet and her spare uniform, when the door burst open and she was wrapped in an impressive bear hug. Yavia’s relief and concern and irritation covering fear hit her like like a wall. Sharah tried to step back away from the hug but Yavia was insistent, and at the last moment reigned herself in. “Dr. Fayth!…Sharah you scared me. Where have you been? Ilena said…well she said you were not okay, and then you weren’t in your quarters, and some strange woman came demanding your things, and wouldn’t tell me anything.” She pulled back giving her a long hard stare. “You weren’t pinning after that worthless yutaq were you?” She set her hands on either of Sharah’s shoulders.

Sharah shook her head and grabbed Yavia by the wrists and removed her hands. “Yavia, I…my pain is emotional, not physical. You can’t relieve that. It is for me to decide if he is a worthless yutaq or not.” She sighed, she knew Yavia meant wellNow, I have a lot of work to catch up on, and I want to see my patients first.” She paused and dug around in the bag, “But this, you need to return to the security ward. I don’t care how much Tenkiller likes you, he won’t be happy you removed it.” She shooed Yavia out without any further explanation.

Yavia returned to the desk at the security ward, no less concerned than she was before Sharah disappeared for a few days. It was a couple hours later when Sharah finally arrived on the ward to see Holloway. After she was done, Yavia and the other nurses were standing around the nurses station making plans. “Dr Fayth, you should come with us.” Yavia grinned, “There is this great little place that is having a new country music performer tomorrow night. Come with us.”

Sharah shook her head, that did not sound like something she was going to enjoy. Music - maybe. A crowd that was consuming alcoholic beverages - was a disaster waiting to happen. She was still under orders from Korczak though. He told her to make the effort to go with her friends. “I have a lot of work to catch up on. If I finish in time I promise to come later.” Yavia glared at her and Sharah could feel the protest forming. It would make Yavia happy. “I promise, no procrastinating or making work, okay?”

Yavia

Sharah worked until she felt she had made up for being gone almost 4 days. She let the work and sense of purpose fill her and give her focus. In the back of her mind though the the events played and percolated. An idea formed and when she returned to her apartment it solidified. She spent the evening on it and the next day she carried two packages with her, but had no idea how to deliver them. But she knew of someone who did. She sat at her desk and put in a call to Ms Dorma Fen.

Fayth, SFCMO

The image of a woman whose features marked her as the same ethnicity as the Governor, but with brilliant red hair and bright green eyes, appeared on the screen. =/\= Doctor Fayth, it is a pleasure. My name is Dorma Fen, assistant to the Governor. How may I help you? =/\= she asked in a professionally friendly fashion.

Dorma Fen

Sharah took in the woman, she was quite striking. She tried to figure out what about the woman had worried Yavia. She thought they would have hit it off rather well. She was sure she had seen Yavia with a wig just as outrageously dyed. =/\=Good morning, Ms Fen. I have a package I need delivered to the Governor. But it is quite delicate and I want to ensure it is delivered without damage. Unfortunately I don’t have the opportunity to deliver it myself. I was hoping you could tell me who I could get to handle it.=/\=

Fayth

Dorma smiled and said =/\= Of course. If you would tell me where the package can be picked up, I would be happy to arrange either pick up or a point-to-point transport. Which would you prefer? =/\=

Dorma Fen

=/\=Point-to-point might be better for the package. Less chance of being jostled. Thank you. There are two. I can leave them on my desk. Thank you for your assistance.=/\=

=/\= Of course, Doctor. Tag them and we will bring them over immediately. Have a good day. =/\= and the comms fell silent.

Two packages arrived, wrapped in brown paper. One was clearly marked for the governor and had a bit of heft to it. The other package was clearly marked for Dorma Fen. Included was a card.

Ms. Fen,

Although you may have only been doing your job, I wanted to thank you for your consideration in helping me. I hope you enjoy the variety. Also, anyone who has to go up against Nurse Crockett deserves some self care.

Dr. Fayth

The package included a variety of self care items as in a variety of scents and unscented.

Fayth

Dorma smiled as she looked through the package. It was a wonderful gift. A fleeting thought as to what the good doctor would have had to say if she and the nurse… Crockett, was it?… had escalated their ‘discussion’ to something more physical passed through her mind and she chuckled. The doctor was well-protected… at least superficially.

She set her package aside and then pressed the comms. “Package for you, Governor. From Doctor Fayth. Shall I bring it in?” “Please.” came the single word response.

Dorma walked into the office and to Hyrushi’s desk, setting it down and then gave him a deep bow before turning and walking out the door.

Dorma Fen

Hyrushi was silent until Fen left, and then dismissed the message he was reading in his desk display and turned his attention to the package, unwrapping it carefully.

Hyrushi, Governor
