The afternoon after A.T.E’s press conference, outside their new building, Karina sat down in her office and made a call to A.T.E. Dr Locksley had said he was willing to work with the educational system and there was no time like the present to see if he was as good as his word. Karina was not one to leave any possible, no matter how slight, opportunity left unexplored when it came to the children and students of Oed. She spoke to a rather delightful sounding individual who transferred her to the assistant to Mr Conner Monroe Locksley of A.T.E and scheduled an appointment for the following day. Being a cabinet member had its perks.
The next day Karina appeared, 20 minutes before her appointment, in the lobby of the ATE building. She was dressed for business in an immaculate pencil skirt and long coat suit of navy blue with a light peach blouse. She carried a small PaDD and her credentials. She approached the desk. “Good morning. I am Director Enger and I have an appointment with Dr Locksley this morning.”
