He was in the den, and on the vid was the introduction to a movie starring Duncan Sampson, one of rhe galaxy’s best action stars. The title screen had gold letters that read Star Struck!, with the ‘Struck’ being hit with a fist. He looked up and said “Hey… mind-numbing brain junk food? Sound good?”

“Oh, I haven’t seen this one yet.” Yavia handed him his glass and then sat down next to him and stretched out, her glass resting on her leg. “That sounds perfect.” She leaned back, sipping at what ever fruity concoction she had made, foot bouncing along with the intro music.

It was roughly 45 minutes later. Sharah could feel them and hear their thoughts and tell even before she saw the open door to the den, they were waiting for her. She made her way quietly, though she was sure Charles heard her anyway, to the door and stood there, hands clasped in front of her and stated at him in disbelief. “You ran a BACKGROUND check on my shrink?!”

Sharah

Yavia’s eyes widened and she reached over and stopped the movie. The answer to that question required their full attention. Yavia assumed that was the Korczak Sharah didn’t want to be late for. “Whoa…TK that’s…gutsy.” She was trying really hard not to grin and keep her amusement hidden. Sharah was going back and forth between being upset and understanding. She was gonna turn into a Roman candle if she decided on upset.

Charles held up a finger and said “Noooo… I read your shrink’s personnel file.” and he looked up at her. “And it just so happens that we know each other. He taught a Command course in Non-aggressive Interrogation that I took. And I finished first in his class, I’ll have you know.” and then he looked at V. “It was a really good course. All about ways to get a suspect to volunteer information without the usual tricks and threats.” he said, desperately trying to change the subject… and failing miserably.

Yavia nodded her head slowly, “Oh yeah? That explains a lot.”
