Jonathan shook her hand. “Not as much as before. Between the mining operations and the now CCDA controlled areas, we have about one-quarter of the space. these days it’s mostly handling Starfleet traffic in and out of Oed and the system and it’s where the Centurion is docked.”

He gestured to his small sitting area. “Please, let’s sit,” McBride said. “And you’re more than welcome to stay as well if you like, Doctor Fayth.”

Sharah nodded, “Thank you, Cpt. That might be more efficient.” She made her way to one of the single chairs and sat. “We have a full infirmary here on the complex, sickbay an the Centurion, and full facilities at Sacred Heart. We help fill in the staffing needs at the hospital, but it is a civilian facility. You and I will be rotating through those three locations.”

Fayth, SFCMO

Hannah took a seat at one end of the couch where she could see both people clearly. As Dr Fayth explained the dynamics Hannah made a small gesture with her right hand. “Yes, I have worked in similar situations, never long term though. Usually just until the medical facility was up and on its feet. I imagine that is different here since we won’t be leaving any time soon.”

Asimina, AMO

Jonathan nodded. “Yes, we’re here for the foreseeable future. As I understand it from Captain Dasca, our Commander-in-Chief, the very long-term plan would possible see us reduce operations once Oed is able to fully handle its own defence, but Medical and Science would still remain our large contributions. So plan on always needing to work collaboratively with the civilian facilities.”

“That is not a problem. Truthfully that is one of the things I liked most about the Fearless was the collaboration. We tend to become isolated on star ships and forget we aren’t a nation alone.”

He smiled. “Indeed. This colony is also it’s own very unique place unlike even a stationary Starfleet facility, so for many just arriving it cna be a bit of a shock, but with your experiences, I think you’ll adjust well enough.”

“I also know that a ship like the Centurion will remain on system patrol, especially given recent diplomatic overtures by the Vren. Which means we’re going to have to make sure we’re running a tight operation. To that effect, consider this advanced warning that I’m planning on taking the ship out for a training mission that will include all senior staff so that we can find cohesion as a group. I’ll leave the decision as to who joins the ship for that mission up to the two of you, but both of you are welcome if you choose. I don’t expect it to last more than a couple of days.”

Hannah looked at Fayth, “I would like to go on that. I know that having both of us here is to make sure both locations are covered. But being new I think it would do a lot to help me learn find the flow of the senior staff.”

Sharah nodded, “For no more than a couple of days, I think we both can go. It will allow us to get to know each other and each other’s work.”

Asimina looked back at McBride, “What can you tell me about the Vren? I read of course about their skirmishes and attacks on Oed. They like to attack the governors, but current information is a bit…scarce.”

Asimina, AMO

McBride nodded. “Those in the upper levels of the colonial government and Starfleet operations have access to the full files we’ve been given. I can share the basic profiles with you which include physiology and culture, as well as planetary information. It matters mostly for being able to provide medical attention to the Vren should they need it, but I suspect that the diplomatic contingent will have a doctor of some sort with them. But the gist is that they are an amphibious species that require high humidity. They were a specialized environmental suit under their garments that allows them to be off world more easily. I’m not sure what environmental adjustments will be made for any of the gatherings, but I suspect it would at most be a middle ground so no one is overly uncomfortable.”
