Carsyn Kolchak stepped off the FMMS Nostromo and onto the shuttle and rode down to Oed V. She didn’t even bother looking out the port window on the way down as she was busy finishing up on her two stories she had gathered on the Nostromo. It had been a bitter sweet departure for her but she was now on her way to setting up shop for the Federation News Service on Oed V. First stop of course was Customs. When the shuttle landed she grabbed her bag and then made sure she had her PaDD in hand, she quickly opened up a screen, she knew that there was about to be a stink when she went through customs; she was permitted for a stun phaser by the Federation and Starfleet, but local authorities tended not to like citizens and visitors having them.

OOC: Just shortening the title even though it will break the Next In Location feature for a moment. If we must tag other players, let’s keep it short so we are being kind to other players. Super long titles make it hard to scroll through the board on smaller devices like a phone. :)
Also, I don’t know if you got my email, but do jump into the press conference. It’s a perfect opportunity to do your thing and multiple timelines works well for this sort of thing.

The Customs Hall had made more sense for the larger ships coming into OED. It freed the Starport for smaller craft and helped with not having to transport hundreds of personnel up to the Starport every day. The Customs & Immigrations Service agents were friendly but efficient, moving people from the four massive transfer shuttles through the Customs “Border” quickly. As Carsyn stepped past a nondescript column, a soft chime sounded a young dark haired man in the uniform of the CCDA’s Customs Divison appeared at her side. “Excuse me Miss, I’m gonna have to ask you to come with me.” He motioned to a large, armored looking door to their right. As he did so, a tall brunette woman stepped through and nodded, awaiting their approach.

Carsyn smiled at the man as she noted the female “Of course sir, lead the way.” She then brought up her PaDD to ensure three things, her stun phaser paperwork was up, her press credentials were available, and the mike system was running. “may I ask who the lady is in the room your taking me to is?” she inquired.

“That’s Captain Gabriella Fash, the Shift’s Senior Officer. Right this way, it will only be a minute.” Without another word, the pair approached the door and then the CCDA man held back, leaving Carsyn to enter the room alone with the Captain.

Fash smiled a half hearted smiled and motioned to a large pillar about a meter from a solid looking table. “Please place your bag on the pylon and take a seat…” She motioned to a chair by the table. “… this’ll all be over in a moment and you can go about your business.” Fash stood, waiting for the reporter to do as she was told.

Captain Gabbi Fash, CIS

Kolchak smiled, “Sure thing.” and walked over to the pylon and set her bag down, she held onto her PaDD and walked over and took a seat. Kolchak was used to this by know, more than a few port authorities had either issues with FNS reporters, or those permitted to carry stun phasers. “So, what is this about Captain Fash?” asked Carsyn, in her most charming ‘who me I am innocent voice’.
