Charles set a hand on each of her shoulders and said “First of all, know this: You did nothing wrong. And the situation is resolved. He will not be back… trust me.” There was a sureness in his voice that was almost palpable, but with his hands on her shoulders she could feel the concrete belief in his words. It won’t even belief… it was fact. “Second, I know you are scared. I know you are confused. And I know you are trying to make decisions when you are in an emotional and physical state that makes that hard. So let me recommend this avenue… don’t decide right now. Rest. Eat something. Sleep. None of what you just asked has to be done now. It can be done tomorrow, if that’s what you want. Regardless of what you choose he is gone. And I promise you he will never be an issue to you ever again. So rest, Eela… we can decide with fresh minds and clearer eyes tomorrow.”

Tenkiller

If he had just said the words, with space between them, even with her empathic abilities, Eela might not have believed them. But with his hands on her, his words became far more concrete, more real. Eela nodded. “Okay,” she said simply. It was a simple answer but the reality was simple: she was putting all her trust in him, and the others, to see her through. She couldn’t yet process the fact that Cory was gone, but a part of brain took in the fact that he was away from her now. Oed was her home and he would have no say in her life here. That she could believe and as she drew another deep breath, her chin lifted ever so slightly. “Thank you.”

~Eela

Sharah peeked her head in, “Eela? When you’re ready.” Sharah waited by the kitchen until they were done.

Drawing in a measured breath, Eela nodded. She briefly touched Tenkiller’s arm before moving out of the den.

Sharah led her down the stairs and to the middle room on the left. Inside was a luscious queen four poster bed, a dresser and wardrobe made of light oak. An actual large landscape painting of a waterfall and meadows with pool at the bottom hung on the wall. The colors in the room blended and matched, giving the illusion one was there. Jal’na was waiting with the massage table set up. Jal’na beckoned her in and closed the door. “We will get rid of the tension and then there is a large soaking tub in the bath. You will use it.”

Stepping in Eela took in her surroundings with a curious eye, her gaze immediately drawn to the painting. Her fingertips skimmed the waterfall, moving over the texture of the paint, soaking up that feeling. She used to paint. Watercolours mostly. Before the accident when it felt soothing. Maybe she should take it up again, just for herself.

Eela turned her gaze on Jal’na. She was being instructed to have bath. She’d probably laugh but actually it sounded nice, if she could shut off her brain. But that was what the massage was for. “Okay,” she said softly moving over to the bed. Lifting the top, she took off the brace and turned the power off. She had brought a backup power cell hadn’t she? She thought so, but who knew. An issue for later.

Unashamed of her body and used to Jal’na, she stripped to her undergarments and carefully slid onto the massage table.

~Eela

Jal’na drapped her in a warm sheet and then pulled a bottle of oil out. She warmed some in her hands before going to work on Eela’s back. Jal’na was not surprised that it was more tense than usual. Theraputic massage could be rough and make a person sore after. Today was different. Jal’na’s purpose was right help Eela relax and find some physical rest even if not mental, yet. She worked for about 45 minutes and the dried her hands on a towel. She started the water and added an oil to the water. “Do you want help Eela? Or are you alright?”

Jal’na

“I can manage, thank you Jal’na,” Eela said as she slipped off the table, mindful that when her body was more relaxed and tired, she could be more unsteady. But as her feet touched the floor she knew it would be okay.

Slipping into the bath, Eela surrendered to the water. In a way it was a much needed cleansing. Her apartment would need it’s own version and she knew how to go about doing just that, but right now here in this tub nothing else existed. She wasn’t sure she could meditate, even though she knew she needed it. Instead she went halfway, using old empathic tricks to get the brain to process less without using more energy reinforcing her mental shields. It would have to do for now.

Sharah moved back upstairs and looked at Yavia blending some smoothie concoction and then at Charles. “I am going outside to kill weeds, because if I don’t get rid of the rising anger,” and it was spreading as the news reached those that needed to know,” around here I’m going to put my fist through a window. I’m not going in the woods, just the beds around the house. But I have to do something. Eela doesn’t need to feel it washing through me.” She didn’t bother with her gardening tools, it would feel better to use her bare hands.

Sharah

Charles nodded and said “You go get those weeds hun.” He went to the kitchen and found V. He walked up and leaned against the counter where she was working. “You know… part if me wants to flag him as a felon and blow up his ship to prevent his ‘escape’.”

Tenkiller

Yavia watched Sharah slip out the door and then looked at TK before tossing a few more things in the blender. “Every part of me thinks that is an excellent idea, and you should do that. Though that might be a bit extreme. Though I did see the bruise in her arm.” She nodded towards the door, “Are we also sure Sharah isn’t sneaking off to go find him. Her anger is boiling over and it’s not all hers.”

Outside Sharah knelt in the dirt, paused and tapped her combade, =/\=Cmdr Fayth to Cpt McBride. Sir, there has been an incident with Cpt Dasca.=/\= Sharah really needed a secure connection for this.

Yavia

=/\=Hold,=/\= Jonathan said. It was his day off too, but he was at home. A moment later. =/\=Okay, we’re good to go. Is she alright?=/\= McBride said, his worry evident in every syllable.
