The Andorian stared at Cattaneo and then flicked his gaze to Dasca. “You’ve got to be joking.”

“I assure you, Mr. Ans’lik, we are not. And of course you have the right to silence and a legal representative. Anything you say and will be used in a court of law.” Eela did not bother addressing him by his rank, as quite frankly she didn’t think he deserved it.

Ans’lik rose, anger flooding his face. “How exactly do those charges fit what happened at the Embassy?”

Dasca was calm as she drew closer, rolling her shoulders back and tipping her chin up slightly. “They are not, or rather not directly except for the falsley obtained warrant. Though Captain McBride has gone on record saying regarding your lack of remorse at the insult given to the Klingons that had the potential to damage the colony’s important partnership with them. No, this is about Luis Vargas, and Belindre Hdla-C’thol, Gren C’thol, Jackson Hyde and others. Not to mention, of course, the nepotistic puppet master of this all, one Admiral Durellian Q’inn,” she said sweetly with a smile to match.

His anger fast faded into shock. “But…” He shook his head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” he growled.

Eela glanced at Cattaneo, her raised brows pressing against her brow ridges. “Lying to an empath isn’t a crime, but it does seem rather stupid under the circumstances, don’t you think Commander?”

Dasca gestured for Tiberius to go ahead and take the man into custody. Ans’lik was trapped with them in his ofice and there really wasn’t anywhere to go. And yet that didn’t stop him from trying to flee past Cattaneo into the corridor, bumping against Dasca as he went. Her hand flew out to brace herself as she fell against the wall and she just shook her head. “Oh dear. How unnecessarily dramatic,” she mused.

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

Luckly, Tiberius had thought this might be a reaction but had hoped it was not. Tiberius was not fully surprised by the actions of the Ans’lik. He was hoping this would have been non-dramatic but with the action of Ans’lik trying to escape, escalated this very quickly. Tiberius tapped on his communicator, =/\=Lt Cmdr Cattaneo to Security Officers outside the complex, Ans’lik has escape his office and will probably attempt to exit. I need all teams ready at the externier door of the embassy, I am locking the area down but Ans’lik still might be able to exit. Put all weapons on stun and please use stun as a last resort.”

Tiberius then quickly stepped over to the panel on the wall and entered the needed commands to lock down the embassy. Being the Head of Star-fleet Security in the complex, Tiberius could override anyone else’s commands to unlock the building, no matter the rank, especially when dealing with something like this. This command to the computer, locked down all turbolifts, to the closest floor in case someone is on them so they don’t get stuck, put force fields around all other corridors between each of the floors. This allows security to contain the person to a specific area. Tiberius was not nervous as he knew Ans’lik could not get out of the area and its only a matter of time before he would be arrested. This would add another charge to Ans’lik’s record.

Dasca stepped out of the office, the back of her right hand resting against the middle of her back. Ans’lik was no where to be seen, which surprised her but then again he knew the building intimately and would know all the nooks and crannies and ways out. But after that? Even if he managed to evade security within the Starfleet facility, everyone would be on the lookout for him. She was hoping to keep it within their purview and not have to involve Oed Police, but she absolutely would if it looked like the man had managed to get out. “Keep me apprised. If he’s managed to get out, I’ll have to call for local law enforcement backup, and probably the CCDA to shut down the space port.” Good Gods, Ans’lik was going to give her a headache today, wasn’t he?

Tiberius then hit his communicator again and said =/\=Lt Cmdr Ans’lik, I have full control over the complex and you will not get out of the area. Please stand down so we can do this peacefully. I do not want to have to shoot you, even with stun. If you turn yourself in, I will remove the additional charges of evading arrest, but only if you give yourself up. You are stuck on the current floor you are on, the turbolifts are on hold at the floor they were closest to. I am going to come down to the floor you are on right now and come to you. Only you can decide what happens=/\=. Tiberius then looked at the terminal screen he was standing by to see where Ans’lik’s last location was. He then left the office and headed to the closest turbolift in order to get to the floor the Commander made it to before the lock down took hold. When he arrived at the turbolift, he entered his code and after a moment, the turbolift door opened. He walked in and the turbolift moved up what was on floor and the doors opened again. Tiberius had his phaser ready in case he needed to use it on Ans’lik but he hoped Ans’lik would turn himself in.

Dasca quietly called McBride who acknowledged the situation and was moving to her location. Eela wisely stayed pout knowing she’d get an earful from her security detail if she joined in the hunt. As it was, she had hit the wall just hard enough to irritate her back but for now she just pushed away the pain and moved slowly so as
While Ans’lik wasn’t the brightest when it came to some things, he knew how to do his job and he understood the reverse of it as well. But he hadn’t made it to his rank because he deserved it, and made one critical error: he assumed people would be a few steps ahead of him and that he could then sneak his way out by tricking them. That was proved demonstrably wrong as he slipped onto Level 2 just as the turbolift arrived and deposited Cattaneo. He fired off a shot in his direction and ran down the corridor in the opposite direction. The weapons fire put the entire Complex on alert status.

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

As soon as Tiberius heard the phaser fire, he knew he had Ans’lik stuck. Tiberius knew there was no getting away at this point with the force fields up in all the jefferies tubes and the turbolifts all disabled except for from his command. He hit his communicator and said, =/\=Ans’lik, you have no way out at this point. Please do not fire again or I will be forced to take forceful and dangerous actions to subdue you. =/\= Tiberius then touched the panel on the side and entered the needed keys to unlock for him and tell the computer to put up force fields around the location of where Ans’lik is. This would allow the security team to protect everyone from any additional phaser fire. He also confirmed all doors in the effected space had the same lockdown code so Ans’lik could not enter into any rooms in case there were any people in them and hold them hostage. Tiberius then hit his communicator again =/\=Any Star-fleet security personnel on Level 2, please make way to Ans’lik’s location. He is stuck in force fields so he cannot harm anyone. I am on my way there now.=/\=

And sure enough the unwise security officer was stuck between forcefields. Ans’lik paced, his antennae bent forward in irritation. He snarled at Cattaneo as he twirled his phaser but said nothing.

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

Tiberius had arrived at the location of where Ans’lik was stuck between two force fields. He looked at Ans’lik with a puzzled eye and said to him, “Did you think you were going to be able to get away from me. Now are you ready to stand down? You know I can disable your phaser remotely using the computer? Please do not make this harder on yourself as you know you have been caught.” Tiberius was hoping Ans’lik would stand down and he was not going to be forced to do anything drastic in order to subdue the Commander. He wanted for a response. Tiberius already had a number of items to do based on what the Andorian responded with. He hoped none of them would have to be used. But with the previous actions of the Commander, he did not expect this to go down easily.

The anger from the Andorian was obvious as he glared at Cattaneo. For a few moments he did nothing and then Ans’lik threw the phaser into the force field. “This isn’t over,” he said, his eyes dark with rage.

~a rather pissed of Andorian

With the actions of the Andorian, Tiberius quickly hit his comms and said, =/\=Security personnel, prepare for a fight with Ans’lik. The Andorian is in a rage state and I am not 100% sure what is going to come up this. =/\= He then hit it again and said to the computer, “Please put up extra force fields around the Andorian. I am afraid he is going to attempt to get out of the situation.” He then went over to the computer and started hitting buttons. He hit the needed combination of keys in order to start removing the air from between the force fields. He then state to the Androian, “I am removing the air in the same area between the force fields of where you are. You are not going to last long. Please stand down.” He waited to see the actions of Ans’lik.

Ans’lik looked incredulous with his empty hands at his sides. “Oh look, the big security man on the other side of the forcefield is scared. A little overkill, don’t you think? Violating Starfleet Security regulations for a Fair And Safe Confinement of A Combative Prisoner? And I’m the one being arrested?!” As far as he was concerned, chucking his phaser was the same as turning himself in, so if Cattaneo wanted to prove his was the big new boss around and screw everything up, well, he’d just let him.

~Lt. Commander Ans’lik

Tiberius was hoping that would have worked as a bluff but it did not seem to. He was going to have to find a new way to subdue the commander. He was hoping the scare tactic would have worked but it seems the Androian was smarter than he appeared. Tiberius knew his next move would have not have any problems and knew it was completely legal. He then tapped his communicator and said, “Cattaneo to Ensign Jerry, Please beam the commander to to the brig.” He was hoping the commander was not expecting. Even if Ans’lik was aware of what he was going to do, there was nothing that he could do about stopping the transporting to occur. After a moment, the commander was no longer between the force fields. Tiberius knew he had been transported to the brig. Tiberius then said to the computer, “Please stand down on the intrustion. Disable all security items in place to help catch the criminal. Everything can be released and returned to normal. Also, please drop the force field in the area.” He saw the force field go down and turned around to head back to the security office in the complex.

OOC: I’m going to move to a different thread for the discussion at the brig with Ans’lik.
