Jezem shrugged, “Things. . . I take care of the house, cook meals for my husband and whatever else I feel like doing. Some days that’s people watching, other days that’s doing something new for the sake of it.” And since that was a bit vague he added, “I don’t know. . . I’ve never had so much free time.” Absolutely terrible in the early days. Going from a high-stakes, high-paced lifestyle to that of a simple househusband came with a long and turbulent transitioning period. It wasn’t until he settled into this new life that he found the patience and motivation to explore the open world before him.
“You’re probably more interesting than I am,” He finished with a soft huff.

She checked the time again and leaned back towards the window to see if there was any sign of the ship. Nope, not yet. Watts gave him a soft smile. “Oh, I don’t know about that. Everyone has their own story. Their own struggles, their own triumphs. But I can imagine it being an adjustment if the pace of your life has changed in a way you’re not used to.”
Lt. Sherri Watts
“I just don’t think my story is that entertaining,” He said with a laugh, almost self-deprecatingly so, “I prefer it that way to be honest. I think it’s more fun to catch a peak into the lives of other people,” He said with a motion towards the windows. What could he say? It was his job to know and understand the lives of others. And if whatever he gleamed lead to more fun later then all the better. “What about you? What do you do when you’re not waiting on late sisters?”
Jezem
“Oh, active things, mostly. My husband and I like to go hiking, and I’ve always enjoyed swimming and dance.” She grinned at him. “I used to be a ballerina, right up until I went to the Academy. Shocked my poor mother who is an actress and playwright. She thought I’d follow her onto the stage,” Sherri said with a laugh.
Lt. Sherri Watts
“Seemed like you dreamed bigger than a stage,” Must be the dedicated working type. Someone organized and efficient but able to think creatively and come up with novel solutions.Physically active, used to a live on the move. People really do share quite a lot, don’t they? “Did your sister follow in your mother’s footsteps?”
Jezem
“Oh no!” Sherri said with a laugh. Of course her reaction only made sense to her in the moment, but still it amused her. “Nah, she’s not really the performing type. We leave that to our mother.”
“What about you?” she asked. “What brought you and your spouse to our fair colony?”
Lt. Sherri Watts
“Why anyone strikes out to settle down here,” Jezem said, “To get a fresh start and live new lives. To be frank this place wasn’t my first pick but Argam insisted. He said the market here had good potential.” The orion smiled ducked his head, and overly fond expression upon his face, “That man. . . He put together a whole presentation explaining while Oed V was the best choice for us. Did market research, showed me his business plan and had everything budgeted and financed.” That impossible man. Seeing all the work and passion Argam put into his well-thought out presentation made Jezem weak in the knees.
