In a space such as this, her mind automatically veered towards a like mind, or something similar. It wasn’t just the presence of a new plant shop that had drawn Dasca here, but also its owner. These details did not escape her attention, and it was both a matter of fascination and delight that Eela wanted to meet Geoff.

She turned and beamed in Geoff’s direction. Eela pressed her hands to her chest and bowed her head. “Hello, you have a wonderful shop,” she said, venturing closer, soaking up the plant life soothed her. There was a reason why she gardened and why her patio and office were full of plants. Hell, her penthouse itself was starting to become more green, though she was mindful of adding more work to her housekeeper’s already busy days. As with everything, balance.

As Eela Dasca stepped further into the shop and expressed her admiration, Geoff’s leaves began to rustle with delight. Their gentle undulations painted patterns of gratitude in the air, the verdant hues dancing in response to Eela’s kind words.

“Thank you,” the translator device chimed in response to Geoff’s movements, “Your appreciation for this space and its life is truly heartening.”

Geoff was thrilled to have someone like Eela in her shop, someone who held a deep appreciation for plants and understood their calming and rejuvenating energy. As she moved closer, soaking in the soothing aura of the shop, Geoff’s leaves shivered lightly, a testament to her shared connection with the green life around them. Geoff then changed the color of her leaves to a soft, inviting blue. “It seems like you have a green thumb? You might be interested in some of our unique, low-maintenance plants. They could add to your green space without adding work to your day.”

“I do enjoy communing with plants, yes,” Eela said. She phrased it that way on purpose, because at its deepest level, that was what her touch abilities allowed. Did it always happen? No. But those rare days were tremendously glorious.

Geoff subtly directed Eela’s attention towards a section of the shop where a selection of intriguing, yet easy-to-care-for plants resided. Each of these had their own charming characteristics, carefully curated by Geoff herself to offer harmony, balance, and a touch of exotic charm to any living space. “It’s all about balance, isn’t it? These plants could make your penthouse even greener while ensuring that harmony is maintained,” the translator device echoed Geoff’s sentiments.

Her leaves shimmered with anticipation, awaiting Eela’s reaction. It was moments like these that Geoff cherished the most; connecting with someone who shared her love for the natural world, helping them find the perfect botanical addition to their lives.

Dasca fixed Geoff with a curious gaze. Could the sentient plant read her thoughts? Hmmm, interesting. Of course she didn’t mind and certainly not in this context, but it was something to be mindful of. “I wouldn’t mind something for my home office. It doubles as a library, and I have a reading nook, but there’s no natural light, so I’d have to get a grow light for whatever I put down there. Something small, maybe a hanging plant?

~Eela Dasca, Lt. Gov.

As Eela explained her needs for her office, Geoff swayed gently, thinking about the best fit for such a setting. A dark environment, a need for a grow light, and a preference for a hanging plant - Geoff knew just the plant for Eela.

Geoff’s leaves shimmered in various shades of green and yellow as she guided Eela towards a collection of hanging plants. Among them was a small, charming plant known as the Altaran String of Pearls. The plant had delicate, bead-like leaves that cascaded down in beautiful strands, giving it an exotic and mesmerizing appearance.

“This plant, called the Altaran String of Pearls, would be a lovely addition to your reading nook. It’s small, grows well with artificial light, and its cascading strands can create a tranquil and cozy atmosphere. It’s quite easy to care for and doesn’t require too much attention, but it would need a suitable grow light, as you’ve mentioned,” the translator device explained Geoff’s recommendation.
