Katherine smiled. “Thank you, Katrina. I appreciate your assistance. I will be fine. Thank you. I’m sure I’ll see you again soon. Small ship and all.” She nodded and set her bag on the bed.

Katrina gave her head a bow and literally disappeared before her eyes, much like a hologram would.

-Katrina

Katherine blinked twice then laughed. “Well, that certainly explains a lot.” She didn’t bother to unpack her bag but headed to the Captain’s room. As she neared it, she pressed a loose strand of hair behind her ear and palmed the chime.

Much to Katherine’s surprise, the door opened without a word being said.

Inside was a similar set up to her own guest quarters with the biggest difference being the amount of space and the size of the bathroom, which in her current position she could not gauge well.

The sound of running water could be heard as well.

She bit her lip. Looking around, she wondered if she should stay. A wild boldness came over her and she crossed her arms and leaned on the wall beside the door, her hand rising to lock it so no one else came in.

She was standing there if he came out. Serves him right, she thought. Shouldn’t leave the door unlocked.

Katherine

Eventually the water shut off, and Conrad popped out of the bathroom wordlessly. He was busy drying his hair with a towel loosely wrapped around his waist.

He sighed when he finished, tossed the towel back into the bathroom on a rack out of view and turned. He visibly jumped at the sight of Prescott, Rin, as he had thought about calling her, the towel losing its grip on his slick body. He quickly caught it before she could see everything.

“First the exhaust port, now my own quarters? You seem to have a knack for curiosity, don’t you?” He said with a surprised yet flirty grin.

She laughed, arms crossed, eyes roaming his body with obvious approval. “In my defense… the exhaust ports weren’t covered,” she nodded raising an eyebrow teasingly, “and you door opened when I tapped the chime.” She nodded to the door beside her. “My guess is I’m needed… you seem to have a security issue.” She laughed at the clutched towel. “Perhaps an integrity issue as well?” She was blushing as well, but she couldn’t resist.

Conrad smirked as he strode to his bed, his back to her. “No integrity issue, but you’re welcome to take a look just to be safe,” he said with a laugh and a raise of an eyebrow as he looked over his shoulder. He then dropped the towel to the floor and put on his clothes as though she weren’t there, back still to her for the moment.

“You got aboard rather quickly. I wasn’t expecting you so soon.”

-Michael Conrad, Black Sparrow CO

She watched him in admiration, her laughter ringing softly in the small space. “I think I prefer an integrity check with the Captain accompanying me. As to me coming back so soon… am I in here at a bad time? Perhaps some other woman traverses the halls, about to enter here before I come aboard and see her slip in?” She was teasing him. Her hands went behind her back, palms against the wall as she watched him dress.

Katherine

Conrad laughed. “No, there’s no other woman.” He pulled up his leather, freelance pants and then went for his shirt.

He then turned around giving her a full view of his bare torso. “Although I’m curious what would happen if there was,” he replied in jest.

She laughed and moved further into the cabin, looking around as she did. Looking at how he’d made the space his own. “Guess it would depend on you.” Her smile brightening slightly as she looked back at him. “I’m not gonna put my nose in someone else’s business. So no worries.”

Katherine

OOC: Sorry for the lengthy delay.

IC: Conrad smirked back. “Sometimes it does some good to do so.” He pulled his shirt on and set it straight on his torso. He then moved for his captain’s jacket and moved much closer to Rin.

“No woman here, so now it’s my turn. Do I need to be concerned about some jealous man showing up because I whisked you away? He’s not about to enter that door is he? See us…alone?” he said with a grin that extended to his eyes, and hint of daring to see what she might say.

Katherine pushed away from the wall and stood up. It put her less than an arm’s length from him as he moved towards her. Her grin rose slightly on the edges of her lips as she tilted her chin up at him. “Nope… just little ol’ me. Well… and you…” She smiled and laughed softly. “Is that what you are doing.. whisking me away?” She knew it was a dangerous game. But it was one she enjoyed playing as much as the next guy.

He raised an eyebrow. “I guess we will have to find out,” he said mere inches from her. Conrad then moved to go pick up a padd. “I take it you managed to find some quarters for yourself aboard?” he pondered looking over things, though secretly eyeing her like a piece of candy.
