Amelia gestured to a chair “Are you new to OED?” She asked Katherine.

Amelia waited for Katherine to answer her and looked at the information on her screen from both the hospital and human services. There hadn’t been anyone on OED in this position for a while now. She wondered just why people kept leaving. She had worked in some rough conditions, she had heard rumors about OED and what happened here, thus far, she really didn’t see much of what had been reported. Granted she had only been on the station for a little less than 48 hours.

Katherine smiled. “Yes, Katherine Prescott. The new Wing Leader. Sorry I didn’t check in sooner. I showed up early and took some advantage of my rest time.” She smiled and moved to the offered chair. “Have you been on OED long?” Her eyes glanced around the office to see how much of a personal touch the woman had placed on her room.

((Sorry, lost the thread))Amelia smiled “Welcome to OED. I’ve been here less than two weeks.” She said “But thus far, I’ve enjoyed it.” She said “I’m still working on getting settled in. I’m not only the Chief Medical Officer, but I’m also the head of Health and Human Services on OED.” She said “So how long have you been flying?” Amelia asked.

Amelia waited for Katherine to respond. She pulled up the pilot’s medical records and scanned through them quickly to see if there was anything that she needed to know.

Amelia soon lost herself in reading the pilots record and forgot that she was even in the office. She finally looked up “Is there anything not in your file that I need to know about?”

Amelia looked back at Kathrine “Let’s find a bio bed and we’ll get you cleared for duty.” Amelia said as she stood up and grabbed a tricorder and headed out of the office and toward the nurses station “Beth do we have an empty exam room for a phyiscal?” She asked glancing at the bed assignments. Beth nodded “Room 4 is ready.” Amelia nodded “This way.” She headed toward room 4 with Kathrine.

Katherine followed the woman as she headed for the corner exam room. “Nothing I can think of. Sprained my wrist last week,” she rolled it as she talked, though the Doc couldn’t see behind her. “I’m guessing it’s fine.” She laughed slightly. “Hasn’t bothered me days unless I sleep on it wrong.” She moved into the room behind the woman and walked over to sit up on the biobed.

Wing CommanderAmelia nodded “Well take a look at it. How did you sprain it?” She asked “Can’t have a pilot with a bum wing, now can we.” She said as she set the bed for the initial scans. “How long have you been flying?” She asked as she waited for the bed to take it’s scans as she took the hand held tricorder and ran the wand over the wrist.
