snipSural wondered what the Ensign was thinking, and reached out onto his otherwise spartanly dressed desk. He turned around a small plaque that was of a dark rich wood with silvery lettering. “My sister gave me this upon my graduation. Perhaps what it says will assist you.”
The plaque said ‘A COMFORT ZONE IS A NICE PLACE TO BE, BUT NOTHING GROWS THERE’.
He let that sink in, then continued, “I do not have the team created. That is for you to determine whom you wish to work with. There is one engineer whom you may consider. He is Crewman Hugh Howard. He is best considered to be a ‘tinkerer’. However, in the end, it is your choice for your crew. If you find a need, you may reach out to other departments for auxiliary persons - after asking that department chief.”
- SuralOOC: Hugh is a NE of mine. Your pick. The main thing is for you to generate and use NE’s as needed. The ‘other departements’ is if you want to bring in other crew to help, such as in adjusting a shuttle to a more medical utilization etc.
OOC: Awesome! I though NE’s were just a DH and above thing, didn’t know JO’s could make them too, haha
OOC: Absolutely you can. The only general ‘rule of thumb’ is that you create NE’s within your own department - aka engineering NE’s.

Oliver breathed out, “Thank you, sir. I can start- uh, I mean if that’s all we have presently, I can start assessment and alterations now.”Oliver Pierce, Eng
“Please do, Ensign. I understand that boarding has certain administrative requirements that go along with them - this meeting included. However, feel free to start your assessments.” He paused, more for the effect of putting a space in the conversation. “Unless you have any questions related to myself, this vessel or your needs, you are dismissed.”
- Sural
Oliver stood up, “Thank you, sir.” He was in something of a haze, but managed, if not excitement, than at least anticipation for what was to come. Somewhat shakily, Oliver nodded to Sural and exited the room.
