I’m not sure if any of you have noticed or not, but our GM, Josh has not posted in more than a month. His status says he in LOA, but I believe that was a leave he took at the beginning of the year (about the same time D stepped down as CO-which, by the way, D, glad to see you back.) He has since posted from that LOA, but like I said, has not posted in a month.

Both Chris and the FCOMM have reached out to Josh with no luck (as of this writing). I really hate to see this sim die as we are nearing the climax, but if our GM has gone AWOL there is not much we an do.

Even though I’m no GM or even a GMT, I think I know enough about what is now going on that I could fill in and bring this sim to a close. It may not be the ending Josh had envisioned, but, it would give us some closure instead of ust dropping everything at this point.

If that is okay with everyone, I’ll go ahead with this plan. I’m also open to any suggestions anybody else might have. Please share if you do. You can either post it here or email me (please remember to copy Chris in on the email also). If we do go this route, I PROMISE I’ll keep within the posting limits.

I would be in favor of this. I think that in his LOA announcement post he said he was going through some trouble with work and life stuff iirc, and I feel for him, but at the same time I’ve been trying to get an update on how Oliver’s search through the computer is going on the fake bridge since at least late January. I think someone (in this case you, Terry, since you’re up to it) should take over until such a time that he can come back and is fell 100%.

All that being said I really do hope he’s doing ok. The total no-contact has got me a little worried, but I hope that STF has just become a non-priority rather than something bad happening. I think there’s a level of pragmatism that we got to act on, but I hope Josh is alright.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for taking the initiative here to close things up. I’m happy for you to finish the mission for us, but would be equally happy to have you write a quick closing summation and to have us move on. It makes sense with the new captain needing to come aboard. I’m not sure how to have Collin handle a new captain being dispatched in the middle of a sim where our former captain is missing, but certainly not deprived of her command or anything that definitive.

Of course, with Collin on the bridge I can safely guess he’s out of the action at this point, and understand others mid-scene may want a bit more resolution.
