As he and Sathut entered the turbo lift from the bridge, D’vash made sure the bridge was secured from anyone else entering.

He turned to Sathut and in a low voice explained, “First stop is the faux bridge and see if whoever is there has gotten anywhere in regaining control of the computer. We need to do that before our visitors can activate the self-destruct.”

As the lift stopped at deck 27, the XO looked at the counselor and said, “Ready?’

OOC: I’m assuming we did decide on a code and reply and that the NE in the fake bridge, as well as Sural and his team were informed.

D’vash holstered his phaser at his hip, not wanting to draw undue attention tp himself or Sathut. Still, he was ready to draw without hesitation. If need be, he’d shoot first and sort things out later. As it were, most of the crew was yet unaware of the imposters/doubles.

As the lift doors swooshed open, the XO and Counselor stepped into the corridor and headed in the direction of the replica bridge. Passing a few crewman as they made there way, he would glance at Sathut each time, hoping to see a reaction from the counselor on whether or not he could smell a difference in the dopplegangers.

Finally, reaching the area of the fake bridge without incident, D’vash rapped on the door and offered the password, hoping one of HIS people was still in charge there and give the proper response.

Odinson (XO)

Sathut didn’t nod at Odinson or make any reaction that might suggest anything about the crewmen. He didn’t know these crewmen, and thus couldn’t say if there was any difference. He would have to meet someone from the other world to know if there was a olfactory difference between them.

Sathut, CNS

OOC: Sural’s team. That’s good. There was himself, Oliver Pierce and a Security NE. Sural and NE are down below so that kinda leaves the ‘team’ being Oliver to meet you. Which is good as he needs some company. .. Gene

Oliver nearly leaped from his seat when the knock and call came. He hurried over to the doors and gave the proper reply and opened the doors. “Mr- Uh Commander Odinson! And Lieutenant Sathut?” Oliver looked around with a somewhat confused salute and expression, “What are you two doing here?… erm, sirs, I mean.”

Oliver Pierce, Eng

Offering one more quick glance down the corridor, D’vash slipped inside the room. He was greatly relieved to hear the proper reply and see one his men there.

“At ease, Mr. Pierce. We’re here to see if you’re getting anywhere with the computer and to offer some help if we . . . can.”

The XO’s jaw dropped in amazement at just how exact this fake bridge was. He stepped further onto the ‘bridge’, counting his steps to his XO’s seat in the center. Everything. . .everything was a perfect match. Each console, each light, each monitor was perfectly placed down to the exact measurement.

D’vash dropped an Orion curse and finished with, “Just how long have they been on our ship?”

Odinson (XO)

The security NE in the corner relaxed the grip on his phaser as the XO and the Councellor came in. “Apparently quite a while, Sir. It seems they had been monitoring us for quite a while. NE Galen and Sural have gone to see about information stopping and storage and trying to root out our duplicates in the process.

He moved back to the console he had been working on and nodded to the view screen as he tapped a few buttons and tried to bring up the feed on the actual bridge. “I believe we have ‘this’ bridge segregated so ‘they’ can’t see anything. But from what we can tell, they have even been monitoring our bridge. I’ll see if I can bring it up.” He turned back to his console and tried to see if he could bring up the feed they had seen earlier. He wasn’t sure if Sural’s security measures had ended that feed as well.

Oliver made his way back to his console, restarted his work, and passively listened as all the people who seemingly knew what they were doing talked around him. He was still new, this was his first mission, more crisis really, and he was unsure what to do. He brought himself back to reality and spoke up, perhaps a little too loud, “Commander, I’ve been trying to gain access to the internal sensors to scan for duplicates, sir. I’ve been trying that for a while, and progress is slow, but I think I’m getting the hang of their computer system.”

Oliver Pierce, Eng

OOC: oh boy schoo has had me so busy i didnt even realize I was late!
OOC: Who’s Schoo? <G> .. sorry couldn’t resist .. er, Mr Martin … you are requested in the holodeck thread that Sural began .. Gene

IC: Sathut followed the XO into the room, quiet. His tail flicked back and forth a little, silently communicating his discomfort with the situation. “How are you holding up?” He asked those who had been waiting on this bridge for them. It hadn’t been much of a struggle to find their way here, as Sathut had been part of the group which had discovered this little corner of the ship.

Sathut, CNS

“Good work, Mr. Pierce. I’ll take any information you have so far,” the XO replied.

The ensign gritted his teeth, “I’m afraid you have all the information I have, sir. It’s been slow going.”

D’vash stepped over to the console Pierce was operating and stood behind the engineer looking over his shoulder. “Not to put any more pressure on you, ensign, but time is of the essence. These doubles are on to us. It’s only a matter of time before they activate the self-destruct.”

“Oh…” The Oliver paused, his fingers that were dancing across the interface slowed. Okay man. He thought to himself, Game time. The engineer spoke calmly, “I’ll redouble my efforts, Commander.”

Sathut, how are your computer skills? Think you can be of assistance to Mr. Pierce?”

Odinson (XO)

“I am no more skilled than the average officer, I regret to inform you,” he said with a small sigh. “I have the inclination to wander around in the access areas and see if I can silently locate our… Friends.”

Oliver began a more fervent thrust into the mirror computer systems. His fingers, which had been previously moving at a simple deliberate pace were now hammering away at the interface. The metal fingers from his prosthetic right hand clacked loudly as they contacted the console with force, even through his glove. Through this, however, Oliver maintained a level of composure that he normally didn’t show. Historically speaking, the man did his best work under threat of imminent death. That being said the last time this was the case he became an amputee, but hey, whatever it takes.

Sathut, CNS

The XO considered Sathut’s words. With his cat-like appearance, it made sense that the counselor would be good a stealthily moving through the access tunnels. His sensitive hearing would come in handy to overhear conversations from a greater distance as well. D’vash slowly nodded. “Very well, counselor, you’re on. Make sure to mute your PASS. We’ll still use that for communication. Don’t, and I repeat, DO NOT approach any hostiles you come across on your own. Contact myself or Lt. Oberon on the Bridge and we’ll send security. Understood?”

D’vash lay down on the floor and removed an access hatch from under a console. “Good luck, Sathut.”

Sathut nodded, sitting on the edge of the hatch and slipping in. “Good luck to you two as well,” he said as he slipped into the small area. Too small for a human to comfortably crawl through, but his tiny frame could navigate the areas with ease.

Meanwhile, the console that Pierce was working on chriped and a list of names began scrolling across the screen. . . .

Odinson (XO/aGM)

Oliver allowed himself a short smile, before excitedly calling out, “Sir? Commander! I’ve got something- Names! I’ve got a name list.” It had been hard going in the system thus far, possibly exasperated by the ensign’s lack of true mastery of the system, but this small victory was invigorating. He continued looking over the list to determine exactly what it was for, as he was trying every which way to get into the system, he wasn’t entirely sure what he uncovered.

Oliver Pierce, Eng

Sathut stuck his head out of the access hatch, having heard the ensign’s exclamation. “Names? That could be useful.”

Sathut, CNS

D’vash returned to Pierce’s side and began scanning the names. “Good work, ensign. Let’s see what we’ve got here.”

The list consisted of approximately 100 names. “My guess is this list is either the people they’ve already replaced or targeted to be replaced. With 100 names, that’s over 10% of the crew complement. Pierce, can you scan to locate every name on that list. If they show up in two locations. . . . “
