Hanlon did his best to get into sickbay with as little assistance as possible. With the occasional flickering of lights as pains hit him.

“Can I help you?” The Vulcan said in the traditional stoicism. He was in his office when he saw the guy come in.

Vel’ten CMO

OOC: This is the same guy we pulled out of the pod. The XO and COS escorted him down here. Vel’ten was still in the shuttle bay, unless, of course, he came along. :) –Terry

Pretha helped steady the man as she needed but let him move on his own as much as possible. She knew most folks hated to be seen as weak, she was one of them, and didn’t want him to feel they were making a scene.

Hanlon seemed, in his current state at least, none too proud to accept Pretha’s help. Getting him over to a biobed proved difficult, but only for his level of muscle weakness.

Once Hanlon got situated, D’vash stepped up beside the bed. “Lt., we NEED you to help us understand what’s going on. We all heard the entity and sensed its’ presence. You can’t honestly tell me that you’ve been in that pod this whole time and not been aware of another presence? Did that presence have anything to do with what happened on your ship?”

To those that didn’t know the XO, his gravelly voice could be intimidating, but D’vash wasn’t trying to be that way. . . yet. He wanted, needed answers to what they were dealing with and needed them fast before whatever it was began trying to take over key personnel in the crew.

Odinson (XO)

Hanlon stared into the distance. “I know it’s there. Always there. If it did anything to the Neptune… how could it? It’s a voice.”

-Matrix

=^=Jasar to Sickbay, Doctor we have located another biosign in a statis podd. We are transporting it to the Cargobay. Have someone report to the cargobay for analysis. I will be joining you in sickbay in a moment.=^=

-CO

D’vash cursed under his breathe. Another one, he thought?

“Sir....” Pretha hoped D’Vash had this well enough in hand. She needed to get to the Cargobay. If there was another entity of any kind, having already spoken with one, she hoped it would give her an edge against another. Her closeness to the XO also meant she knew he would worry. “I’ll be careful… but I think I should be the one. I’ll bring them to sickbay,” she added as a afterthought…”if it’s possible…” If it ‘was’ another entity, it’s inability to be corporeal might be the problem.

The XO nodded and simply replied, “Go.”

=/\= Roger that Captain. I’ll send NE Useful over to assist. =/\=

“Ok Chief. But be very careful. As someone who has spent a lifetime dealing with emotions, I’ll say you need to be careful.”

Vel’ten CMO

Turning back to Hanlon, D’vash continued. “It wasn’t just a voice, Lt. It was someone, some. . .thing. And it was in that life pod with you. It could very well be responsible for what happened to the Neptune. We can’t let that happen to the Olympic. You need to tell us everything you can about what happened.”

Odinson (XO)

A couple minutes later Jasar entered sickbay. He looked at the unfamiliar face and approached him. “I’m Captain Hamilcar Jasar. Welcome aboard.” He said, his quick glance around the room seemed to indicate that diplomacy was the way to start.

-CO

D’vash returned to a straight up position while still eyeing Hanlon. “Captain, this is Lt. Hanlon. He was the lone humanoid survivor in the pod,” he said, stressing the word humanoid.

“Apparently, there was another entity in the pod with him, that was freed when the pod was opened. We’ve had some contact with the entity and it appears it would like us to give it lift.”

Odinson (XO)

“Understood.” Hamilcar stated, aware of the emphasis of Humanoid. “We did just receive word of another podd, Science and security are bringing it aboard now. We detected another life form aboard.” Hamilcar explained to Odinson.

“Yes, I heard. Lt. Oberon is on her way there now. For sector with a Black Hole in its midst This sure seems to be a popular area of space?”

Sathut stepped into the Sickbay and stood nearby, giving Hanlon a small wave. “I’d like to evaluate his mental state if I am able to, Captain?” the alien counselor requested quietly.

  • Sathut

“By all means.” Hamilcar stated, taking a step back to give her some room.

-CO

D’vash stepped back to make room for Sathut. He was sure there was some mental ibstabilty inside Hanlon’s head. You don’t spend that amount of time locked in a life pod without it affecting your mind in some way, even if you’re in cryo-stasis. . .

Odinson (XO)

“Hello, Lt. Hanlon. I am Sathut,” the alien counselor said, stepping over to the passenger. “Are you feeling alright?”

Sathut, CNS

Hanlon nodded. “Yes. Especially given how I’ve spent the last… 200 years. Excuse me, but what is your position aboard the ship? I thought I had encountered all the senior staff.”

-Matrix

The feline alien purred a little. Despite his small size, his voice was deep. Like Morgan Freeman. “I am the Head Counselor aboard this vessel. A position that did not exist back in your day, if my research sources are to be trusted. I am responsible for maintaining the mental health of all members of the senior staff and several of the junior officers. I and my team are responsible for the mental health of the entire ship.”

Sathut, CNS

“Things have changed. I’ve missed Starfleet though.”
