Alita stepped off the lift and quickly assessed the situation in medical. Glancing around she spoke tot he first person she saw.

“I’m looking for Ensign Locksley.”

  • Alita, MO/COS

At that moment, Cel walked and and quietly stood near his COS.

“You found her,” Lily said brushing her hands off. “What can I do for you?” It was weird to have security here and not being treated but there was a first time for everything.

Ensign Lily Locksley

“I’m here to retrieve a gold pin you recently received. Trust me, I don’t usually go around snatching people’s gifts but I believe this is a matter of security.” Alita explained calmly.

“Sure it’s in my office I think still,” Lily walked to her desk and retrieved the gold pin she had received in the mail that Bryson brought to medical. Grabbing the box she handed it to Alita. “I never did anything with it because I just assumed it was sent to me by mistake and someone would come looking for it.” Lily wasn’t surprised that someone had come to claim it. “Is it yours? It is a pretty piece of jewelry,” she commented off hand.

“Did you touch it.” Celador asked curiously leaning forward to take a look at it.

-Cel

“Of course,” Lily leaned back on the table behind her. “How else do you inspect a present when you open it?” Her tone was playful and light without a hint of sarcasm. It was more of bemused confusion. “Truthfully I was confused as to what it was at first. I mean even though Duncan is British that doesn’t mean he sports a Hogwarts cape and runs around yelling bezolle mezolle except on Wednesdays. Wednesdays are magic nights.” The last sentence however was teasing about the pin in the box.

Alita couldn’t resist opening the box and looking at the piece as she shook her head at Locksley.

“It might be mixed up in a security matter. For the rest I’m afraid you’ll have to ask Mr. Mado but, if we are wrong and nobody comes to claim it, would you like it back?” she asked.

  • Alita, MO/COS

The pin had a triangle shape representing a blue cone shaped hat, had three stars around a waning crescent moon. One star was at the top of the pin, above the crescent moon, one star was in the empty space where, if the moon were a complete circle, the star would fall on said circle, and the last one was to the left and the bottom of the crescent moon.

GM

“Sure,” Lily shrugged. “It is not exactly my style but then again I do tend to be eclectic. It is pretty,” she looked at it again. “I thought it might be a representation of a constellation somewhere but then again it could just be pretty. You think it was stolen,” Lily asked the security chief. She thought the woman said something about it being involved in an investigation.

Alita didn’t want to lie to Lily but wasn’t certain how much Mado would appreciate her saying.

“I certainly hope not. But right now those details aren’t mine to give out. I will see that this gets returned to you as soon as possible. Tell me, have you been feeling any different since this came into your possession?” Alita asked.

  • Alita, MO/COS

“I don’t think so,” Lily looked at her wrinkling up her brow at the question. “I didn’t really handle it much once I realized Duncan hadn’t given it to me. It felt wrong. Like I had opened someone’s birthday gift by mistake.

Alita had a strange gut feeling she should avoid touching the pin with direct contact.

GM

Celador looked at the two women. “How about I hold it.” He suggested. “I may have an easier time on the effects then others.”

-Cel

Alita nodded.

“Well then don the purple gloves young man.” she said ti the obviously older ensign.

  • Alita, MO/COS

Celador nodded and grabbed some gloves and picked up the item. He looked at it, almost waiting for something to happen.

-Cel

“What are we expecting to happen and just a point here but most things require skin to skin contact if you are looking for an allergic reaction of some sort.”

Soft music started to play.

One of the nurses spoke up, “Computer, stop music.”

The computer responded, “No music is currently playing.”

“Computer, identify source of music.”

The computer responded, “No music is currently playing.”

Another NE spoke, “Is that… The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Paul Dukas that is playing?”

A magical circle that was shaped of a tall oval, about 1.5 tall, and 1 meter wide, appeared near the entrance of Sickbay… and out came a broom carrying two wooden buckets of water… and proceeded to dump the water on the ground, and exited the room. The ring color of the oval was blue and the center was black. The pin… had been activated, despite the crew’s untrained precaution.

GM

“The hell?” Celador said, walking over to the magical circle. He took a look at where the broom came from, trying to see what this was.

-Cel

Celador couldn’t see anything beyond the portal, but suddenly a broom popped up, and knocked the young ensign over. It was particularly painful, since the broom’s handle knocked Celador right in the center of his face. The broom repeated its previous action, and proceeded dumping water on the ground of sickbay. If they didn’t stop it, they’d have a flood within sickbay soon.

GM

Celador fell to the ground flat on his back, he felt blood trickling down his nose. ‘that was interesting’ Squared replied mentally to Celador as he got back to his feet. ‘Lets see whats inside.’ Squared urged to Celador.

Still holding the trinket, he got to his feet and walked towards the portal, determined to see if he could go through it.
