Elsa strode into her office and sat down at her desk and contacted her first officer “Lt Hawkins. Report to my office on the double.” She said as she began going through the data on the new recruits that they had.Marine CO

Kate didn’t even take a second to respond, she just took off at a jog to the Lieutenant’s office. As she rounded the corner she came to a stop just long enough to tug her uniform back into place before stepping into her CO’s office. She snapped to attention, the heels of her boots clicking together. “Reporting as ordered Ma’am.”

Elsa nodded “Have a seat Lt.” She said returning to her own chair “How long have you been aboard the CHimera?” Elsa asked pouring herself a glass of water and gesturing to Kate to help herself. Elsa was a woman of few words until necessary, then they were mostly in Greek or Italian, depending on her mood at the time.

“Thank you Ma’am,” Kate said as she slid into the offered seat. “Since she was officially commissioned Lieutenant. I was stationed to the Turing, but when that ship was destroyed, I was transferred, along with what crew was willing to take the transfer. It definitely created an interesting dynamic among the teams, as our teams were separated by the transfers.”
2nd Lt Hawkins - Marine XO
“What can you tell me about those that transferred with you?” She asked leaning back in her chair “I have their jackets, but first hand information is better than reading something.”

“The rest of the squad that transferred to the Chimera are definitely a hardened group. You don’t see the ship get blown out from under you, and not be changed by that. But they are also the ones that are professional enough to move past that, and get back into the fight. Those who couldn’t, well they transferred out.
“That being said, we are ready to see what the new guys have to offer, and get back out into the field. We aren’t made to be sitting on a ship, waiting for death to come to us.”
