OOC: The Orion ship went to warp and seems to be on the run…

Heather was coordinating with Engineering, but the power loss from the sabotaged matrix was hurting them more than she had originally thought it would. “Excuse me, Captain Jones, Lieutenant Tenkiller, I need to get to engineering, the dilithium matrix was sabotaged earlier in our mission and its practically hemorrhaging power, if I can get down there and repair it I can probably get back up power back online instead of emergency power,” Heather said even as she was starting towards the Lift. because of her Atlantean blood she could handle whatever happened in engineering as long as there wasn’t a coolant leak.

Heather Argeneau, CE

GM
Jones nodded his head “Very good Chief, I need power up and running ASAP. Who knows how long untill that ship returns.”

Captain Jones stood taking in the information. Looking over at Ten Killer, “Lietenant, what is the status of the shuttles, will they be able to provide support to the away team?” Turning to the Intelligence Officer “Intelligence, I need you to work with security and engineering and find out who did this to the ship, we have to find them or this entire ship will be at risk.”

CO
(see above you can launch at any time)

Tenkiller pulled up the information he and Argeneau had compiled and sent it to the Intelligence officer and Jones. “This is what we found before all hell broke loose. At least we limited the pool of suspects. If you can be of assistance, we can probably figure it out faster. “

Tenkiller, CoS
The pool of suspects had shrunk during the investigation, particularly after correlating the location of each engineer relative to the time frame of the sabotage. Grigor Ivanovic, Emma Holzer, Tito Coeman were the of the highest probability of wrongdoing but even then they were not hard connected to the sabotage.

Elsa spoke up from her station at the back of the Bridge “Captain, I can have teams placed at strategic locations to assist security.” She said as she started to open a comm link to the marines aboard the ship to deploy them.

MCO

Sheriye stood by continuing to monitor the away team. Idly her tail flicked back and forth as she calmed herself after all the action. It looked like the Orions were running so perhaps they could complete what they had come here to do.

Sheriye CSO

Their original mission was to determine, if there were pirates in the system, and if so why they were in such a relatively minor and unimportant trade lane.

“I haven’t exactly involved Engineering in the actual investigation into the sabotage, because I wasn’t sure who to trust other than Ens whatshisname,” Heather admitted.

Heather Argeneau, CE.

Captain Jones let out a breath, “Alright first order of business I need power restored. Engineering get on that and make it happen. Tell me what you will need. The second issue is finding out who cripled this ship and why. Just as important, what is the status on the support for the ground units?”

CO

“Aye, sir,” Heather said she was already coordinating with Engineering to get things fixed and power back online as best they could with the dilithium crystal issues that would prevent them from bringing full power back online. But back up power was possible.

Heather Argeneau, Ce

Currently the partial warp drive power was greater than the emergency or impulse power.

There was no easy long term solutions to the warp drive issue. Four of the six dilithum crystals were a complete loss. They were forcing the antimatter through two crystals, one of which they suspected was cracked, hence the remarkably low power. The only obvious recourse was to get new crystals… which could be delivered by starship from a base two weeks away.

Other engineering issues of lower priority was the unexplained automatic opening of comm lines…

GM

The Captain looked to the Security Chief, “Lieutenant, since the XO is gone right now your my 2nd Officer, Oversee a evacuation of non essential area’s. Clear them and shut down life support and all power to those area’s. Put your best investigator you have on figuring out who is on this ship that damaged our systems, or how they damaged our systems.”

The Captain then turned to the comms station “Comms, Tranmitt the following on Star Fleet Emergency Channel.” This was not the way to start a command…

=/\= USS. Chimera to Star Fleet Vessels, We have been attacked by Orion’s, we have personnel on the ground in combat. We are running on low power and require immediate assistance. Requesting any available vessel respond =/\=

Looking back to Tenkiller, ‘Number two whats the status on sending shuttles as fire support?”

CO

OOC: Is a player going to pilot those ships…

Transporters can be one or two at time to surface locations. Shuttles are operational. The crew is healthy, all options with those parameters are open.

-^-This is the USS Yorktown, we are 17 light years away from your last known position. We can alter course now, but… that still puts us over four days away. Captain Noble is coming to the bridge now, if you’d like to speak to him. -^-

GM

OOC: I don’t think we have a pilot at the moment though Heather has some piloting experience with shuttles if you want her to take the helm?

OOC: That’s not the issue, I was just wondering I was needed to NPC the shuttles or if someone else was going to do it. And if I was going to NPC it, I need more specific directions on what is wanted.

IC: Heather was working at her console trusting her engineers to coordinate with her and follow her orders even when she wasn’t there. Even though she didn’t know them well all she could do was hope that it hadn’t been anyone in her engineering bay that had caused the sabotage earlier.

Heather Argeneau, CE

GM

Captain Jones looked up at Tenkiller, “Negitive Leiutenant, The XO is already off ship and I need you to find the person responsible for the assault, we must ensure they don’t do any more damage.”

CO

Tenkiller nodded and said “Copy that, Captain.” and he looked at the security console. “Skipper, we have all suspects in different emergency shelters.” and then a thought occurred to him and a wicked smile formed on his lips. “Um… permission to scare the hell out of the crew, Captain? Well, not all of them. Just the ones in the shelters with the suspects?”

Tenkiller, CoS

“With permission Captain, I’d like to head down to Engineering see if I can stabilize the systems we have.” Heather requested.

Heather Argeneau, Ce

Looking at the Chief Engineer “Granted, use what you need”

“Lieutenant Tenkiller what do you have in mind?”

CO

Heather gave a nod and made her way to the lift so she could head off the command center and down to Engineering.

Heather Argeneau, Ce

Tenkiller looked at Jones and said “The perpetrator had contact with the Orions, that much we know for fact. If they believe that the Orions have boarded, they are gonna react… well… much differently than anyone else in those shelters at hearing the news they have boarded us and we are abandoning ship. I’ve got eyes on each suspect. Let’s give the saboteur what they most want right now. A ticket off this ship. And when we have our person of interest identified, we already have them in a confined space. Stun ‘em and drop them in a refresher until we have power back to the brig.”

Tenkiller, CoS

“Alright Lieutenant that sounds reasonable, but you need to ensure that no one is armed inside of the shelters but security and you need to vet them first.”

CO

Sheriye was a bit slow on the uptake but realized that someone had sabotaged their ship somehow, she pondered for a few moments before going to the duty logs for the engineering area to see if she could recognize a pattern and perhaps discern who had made it.

Sheriye CSO

Bump to keep current.
OOC: Is it you plan to set up the trap? Or just the idea?

Luke

Elsamine waited for orders for her MACO’s “Sir, we can provide the needed support for the ground team.” She said “Give the word and I will have them boots on the ground in less than 10 minutes.” She said.

MCO

Leo walked onto the bridge as it was time his shift started. He took a quick glance around the room before quietly walking over to his station, trying to avoid disrupting what was happening on the bridge. Taking over at his station from NE Rossi who was there before him, he continued running the scans of the area and the away team.

Ensign Leo O’Reilly
Scientist

Tenkiller nodded. “Already vetted. It’s folks I trust implicitly. And there are just there to observe the reaction. Once word gets out, the one who thinks they are gonna be safe should relax. The others will probably lose it like the rest of their shelter-mates.” and he began transmitting the encrypted orders to each of his Security staff in all the emergency shelters. After a few moments he said “Captain. We’re ready. All we need is you to send word to the shelters that we have been boarded and are surrendering to the Orions. I should have your saboteur a few minutes after that… I hope, anyways.”

Tenkiller, CoS
