Tenkiller had Ivanovic moved to one of the holding cells and two guards placed outside. Meeting them as they entered, Tenkiller remained silent as the Engineer was moved into the cell and the shield brought up. Thankfully, the holding cells had a dedicated generator so they would be functional for a few more hours. Once the suspect was inside and secured, Tenkiller pulled a chair over and sat down in front of the field. He began going over the accumulated oddities… ‘evidence’ being a strong word at this point… surrounding Mr. Ivanovic. He didn’t speak, he didn’t look up… and most importantly he didn’t offer any explanation as to why the man had been brought in.

Tenkiller, CoS

“I don’t know why we are having a conversation in the the brig, Tenkiller. Fifteen years of service and I get this sort of harassment, the Captain, whoever that may be will be hearing about this.”

GM

Tenkiller kept looking at the PaDD in front of him for several more moments before looking up as if something had just occurred to him. “Hmm? What? Oh, I’m sorry. I wasn’t listening. What did you say?” he said flatly. “Oh, and before you answer, I guess I should let you know that anything you say can and will be used in… blah, blah, blah. I’m sure you know that.” and he went back to looking at the PaDD. Tenkiller wasn’t about to read the man his rights. He wasn’t technically under arrest yet, after all. “And I’m sure someone will be hearing about this… but I don’t think it will be the person you think.” and he chuckled to himself.

Tenkiller, CoS

“I said you can’t do this to me, you holding me here can affect my career. What will everyone think? What he hell are you thinking?” Tenkiller couldnt tell if he was actually angry or full of bluster, what was clear that he was hamming it up at least a little bit.

Tenkiller didn’t look up, he just held up his index finger in the universal sign of ‘Just a minute, I’m busy.’ and let the man stew for another few moments. He then asked, still looking down at the PaDD, “Eight letter word for ‘person engaging in physical subversion’, ending in ‘u-r’. Any ideas? I tell ya, these Times Crossword puzzles get harder and harder…” Tenkiller knew he could probably break Ivanovic. But that would take time they didn’t have. His only option was to make Ivanovic think his ending was inevitable, whatever ending his imagination conjured up, and Tenkiller was simply there to make sure it went off as smoothly as possible. Tenkiller hoped that by remaining passive and unresponsive, Ivanovic would try to bargain. He knew that human nature was pretty constant… If someone is faced with an inevitable and undesired outcome, they will try almost anything to avoid it. In this case, Tenkiller was hoping that Ivanovic would try to cut a deal to make whatever outcome he imagined more… palatable.

Tenkiller, CoS

“GRANDEUR, as in illusions of, as if you have the power to hold me here without cause.” He looked at Tenkiller, “I hope you took a picture of those pips because you won’t be seeing them again for a long time.”

Sill without looking up, Tenkiller said “Naw. More like chewed out. I’ve been chewed out before.”

The Captain arrived outside of the holding cell, pressing the chime he waited for a response.

CO

Tenkiller looked at the feed from outside and smiled. “Ah, good. This should be fun.” and he set the PaDD down. Opening the door, he said simply “Captain Jones.” and stepped aside so the officer could enter.”

Tenkiller, CoS

“Who is that?” Apparently Grigor didn’t get the notice that they had a new captain.

Tenkiller looked at the man in the cell and said “Unfortunately for you, this is the new Commanding Officer. Oh, Captain? Mr. Ivanovic has requested somewhat emphatically that I be demoted and thrown in the stocks. I’m paraphrasing, but the sentiment is there. I’m not quite sure he is actually aware of how much trouble he is in… or how much we know about his extra-curricular activity.”

Tenkiller, CoS

The engineer squinted slightly at Tenkiller’s words. “You still haven’t told me what trouble I’m in. You can’t hold me without a reason… without a charge.”
