OOC: This timeline is Post Sim for the current Sim. We will be completing the sim. New marine crew may join on this sim thread.Captain Jones Disembarked onto Starbase Halcyon, not really sure what was going to happen when he arrived. Looking around he immediately noticed a heavy Marine Presence on the ship. Turning to the XO “Commander, I have orders to report to Admiral M’Ressa, The crew is free to do as they wish for now until I receive more orders. No one is to be in the brig during this trip so make sure our officers are kept in line Commander.”
Jones walked through the corridors and hallways until he finally arrived at the Admirals office. He had yet to meet the Fleet Commander and wondered if he was going to be relieved of command.... Again. He approached the door, taking a deep breath he range the chime on the door.
Captain Jones
CO“Come!” Came a sharp purring voice from within and as the doors whooshed open the Captain would note a typical flag officer’s office within. On the walls were huge mural paintings though of the fields of Cait. The tones of the furnishing and carpeting of the office were in matching colors to the painting being of soft wheat gold and verdant dark green.
The Commander of the station, Rear Admiral M’Ressa was sitting behind her desk peering at various padds, one of which she set back down at her desk as she looked up at Jones’ entry.
“Captain Jones, please come in.”Unlike the Caitain CSO on the Chimera the Rear Admiral’s Caitain accent was almost non existent due to her longer years with speaking Federation Standard. Or perhaps it was due to her background in Communications. “Have a seat, Captain. How is the Chimera doing repair wise after your contact with the Orions?”Rear Admiral M’Ressa
Captain Jones entered and sat down, “Thank you admiral, it’s a pleasure to take make your acquaintance.” Jones eyes were slightly droopy with large lines under them. “Frankly Admiral I’m not sure the Chimera is salvageable at this point, She took a lot of damage before I arrived on her.” Jones shifted in his seat “Admiral I sincerly hope that Command realizes that the majority of the damage occurred before I even arrived on the ship. I know my command history is colorfull and I assure you I believe I did everything by the book.”
M’Ressa nodded as she listened,”Yes, Captain I am aware of what the Chimera went through before you took command.” She frowned then and took a moment to stare past Jones.
Jones shifted again “Admiral, may I ask why I have been summoned to your office, I realize that I have not had the pleasure to meet you yet, but it feels like there is more.”

The Admiral sighed then looked back toward the Captain.”I was hoping you had better news for me, Captain but in light of the damage the Chimera has undergone I took the liberty of contacting Command to suggest that if the Chimera is beyond salvaging that you and your crew be given a new ship. We just happen to have a new Mjolner docked here at the base that Command has agreed to give you with the permission to rename her Chimera NCC 98730-B. It is vital due to the remnants of the Typhon Pact allies as well as the Klingon or Cardassian ships that we keep finding incurring on our space. Given that this a Mjolner class, that will of course change the nature of your missions, Captain. Given your fighter class history, I think you are more then suited for these type of missions. What do you think?” She asked as she relaxed a bit, sitting back in her chair.
