The Major walked into the dark office on board the Chimera. “Computer, lights at ninety percent.” and the office went bright. Lardel took a look around and simply nodded once. Walking to the desk, he tapped the display and said “Computer. Log in Major Krin Lardel. Authorization Bravo-Echo-Niner-Niner-Seven-Three-Omega.” There was a brief pause and the then an audible ‘beep’ and the computer said “Acknowledged. Commander Air Group on station at zero-five-thirty-seven minutes ship time.” Lardel dropped the onlive green flight bag he was carrying and stood at the desk. Tapping the comms, he said =/\= Commander Air Group to all Flight Team Leaders. Report to my office immediately. =/\= and he pulled up the latest manifests and personnel reports.

Eleanor hadn’t even had the time walk to her quarters when the comm came. Heck, she hadn’t even had time to figure out where they were. After meeting with the pilots in her squadron about the botched landings and discussed what had gone right and what they could improve, Carnegie had stayed behind in the hangar bay performing a few simple systems checks on her craft before heading out. In fact, she had just grabbed her duffel bag when the CAG had called her in. Hurriedly untying her flight suit’s sleeves off of her waist and zipping it back up, Eleanor rushed out of the hangar bay.

It took her longer than she had expected, but Carnegie finally found her way to the Commander Air Group’s office. Still carrying her duffel bag over her shoulder, Carnegie walked up to the door and pressed the chime, waiting to be summoned inside.

The doors swished open silently and the Major could be seen standing at the desk looking at the display. As the doors opened, the short fireplug form looked up, the wrinkles and folds of the skin on his face shifting slightly at the sudden movement. “Captain.” the Major said simply in his typical greeting, and he gestured to a chair in front of the desk. “Bit of a bumpy landing for your newbies. I will assume that has been addressed?” he asked, although it was more of a statement.
