He had finally finished unpacking the last of his things in to his allotted quarters Davon took a step back and admired his work. ” Already feels like home doesn’t it?” He said more to his symbiote “Riloc” than to himself or the Black and white cat that was laid out across his bunk purring contently. He felt Riloc move in his pouch in agreement.Being a DH now had its perks. Slightly bigger quarters for one. He decided he would have to pick up a few more things the next time he was on R and R just to flesh out the quarters a little more.
On his desk head three PaDDs piled neatly on was Ship blueprints, the second was a list of security personal and the final one was list of reports that would need filing in the next day or so.
He straightened his hair and evened the parting on his right side. Applying a little bit of product to keep it in place. “Zel,” he said to the cat, ” I’ll be back later. Make yourself at home.” The cat didn’t look up from its slumber. Davon smiled and left.
It was quite the walk to the bridge to meet the captain and gave him chance to get his bearings a little. He would have to look over the layouts again when he got back from his meetings the Chimera was a very new ship and a class he had never served on. So learning all her nooks and crannies would be vital.
He was deep in the thought when he arrived on the bridge.
The bridge itself was a thing of beauty bright colours and federation greys met in a gentle dance. Relief crew where at the stations, either that or the captain was in fact a lieutenant. Which was highly unlikely.
He walked over to the captains office. Pressed the bell and waited to be granted entry.

Captain Jones was just getting his office set up and ready on the new ship, there was so much to do, so many changes to see to, It took a moment for the chime to hit him “Enter”..

Davon entered the office with a large stride. Arms clasped behind his back. ” Good morning Captain, Lt. (J.g) Riloc reporting for duty as ordered, sir.”
He stood in the centre of the room at attention.

Jones stood up and offered his hand “Welcome aboard Lieutenant, Glad to have you aboard”
“Its a pleasure to be here Captain.” Davon said.
After shaking hands, “Please have a seat” the Captain motioned to a set of chairs set up in the corner of the room. “Let me get you up to speed Lieutenant, This is going to be one interesting assignment for you.”. The Captain picked up his coffee and sat in the opposite chair. “I will be doing a formal breifing later with the entire crew and then the Department heads, How familiar with the ship are you?”

Davon nodded in agreement. “I hope it will be interesting indeed.” He smiled. “I have been down to the brig and looked around the my new office. I’ve also set a meeting for after the briefing with my staff. I will be letting them know what is expected of them and reinforcing all points made by yourself.”
Davon handed over a PaDD. “This is a list of security staff and crewmen on board at the moment. I have spoken to a handful and in the process of assigning shift patterns and leadership roles.”

The Captain took the PaDD for a moment and then handed it back to the Officer, “Ensure the XO gets a copy of that Lieutenant, alot of changes coming on board right now… We will be having a all crew required formation on the flight deck.. I’ll notify you of when it is. I would like you to familirize yourself with the ship as best possible. You will be in charge of the tactical station also.”
