Heather stretched as she walked back into Engineering, The meeting in the Command Center had taken longer than she would have liked. And she had work to do now that it was pass and she was free to move about again, Heather wanted to check on the progress of the repairs and be sure they were coming along as nicely as she hoped they were. Most of the repairs should be just about done. Most of the damage should be taken care of and they should be ready for the training mission that was coming up when the Captain wanted to move out.

They were training with the Klingons, were they? That could get dangerous after all Klingons were not known for holding back in any regard. They only respect strength and laugh in the face of weakness if they were to show it. They needed to treat this as a real situation, not something to hold back on. Heather sighed and walked over to one of the engineering consoles. The bridge was too crowded for her taste which is why she normally assigned an officer to the Bridge station if it wasn’t absolutely necessary for her to be there. And despite the fact that Engineering was usually very crowded, She found it far more peaceful than the bridge due to the sound of the engines humming with activity.

As she felt her body start to relax she thought back to her uncle coming and practically dragging her back to earth. She had made him a promise to check in regularly so that he knew she was still safe. It was the only way he would let her return to her duties rather than demand she turns in her commission then and there. He did not want her to cut her family out of her life. Kinda hard to cut one’s family out when they were so close, especially when they live so long. Heather sighed again and concentrated on her work. She brought up the latest reports to look over on how repairs were going.

OOC: leaving room for the GM or Storyteller if they wanna add anything to the repairs going on.

Bump

The station crew was finishing the last of the updates and checks on the ship prior to the Maiden voyage. A ship this large took more than a normal ship to get put together. A station officer approached “Lieutenant this is a fine ship, bigger than the last Chimera that’s for sure. Do you want to verify that we have your warp core aligned?”

Storyteller

Heather arched one brow, “Yes I would.” She said accepting that the ship was definitely bigger than the last chimera.

The Warp Corp Status console was open so the officer began pulling up the standards,

  • Antimatter Flow .09 Variation - within Standard
  • Warp Corp Status - On standby
  • Current Antimatter status 99.8776598% Full

Heather gave a nod, “Looks like everything is where it should be. Though I’d be happier if the Variation on the antimatter flow wasn’t so high, it is within standards,” Heather sighed though still, she was satisfied with the report on the warp core.
