OOC: Okay guys I’m starting this thread to keep our posts up while we wait for the CO and XO to return or be replaced.

IC:
Davon entered the Holo deck. On the table in the centre laid a variety of phasers of all different Mark’s as well as marine issue carbine phasers and standard issue phaser rifles.

He decided that the crew needed to keep sharp even with all the marines aboard the ship. If the marines failed in their defensive duties then they would need to be able to defend themselves.

“Computer run programme Riloc Alpha 3 Deta Gamma.”

About 30 metres away from the table five targets materialized in the usual orange twinkle of the photons forming.

He picked up the MkIII phaser and took aim. The sound of the beam fizzing in the air was familiar as an old friend at a bar.

On impact the first target flashed out of existence 100 rose up in its place. Not a bad first shot. He thought to himself. He raised his hand again and pressed down.

OOC: Mind if Heather steps into observe?

IC: Heather Argeneau, maybe CE of this ship, but she still kept up with the training her Uncle use to put her through. However, as she came upon Holodeck 1 she realized it was occupied. Curious she slipped inside to see what was going on and found a Training session in process. Heather decided to watch, though she couldn’t remember meeting the Chief Security officer yet, at least not that she could recall. So she thought she’d assess his strengths, unfortunately, thanks to her bloodlines there weren’t many species that could go hand to hand with her unless she held back. Klingons, Vulcans, and Orians were a few of the rare ones that could maybe go toe to toe with an Atlantean, normally she had to hold back otherwise she could risk doing real damage to someone otherwise.

Heather Argeneau, CE

The final target disappeared the number 173 rose from up in the air. He sighed, he had been sloppy and only managed a moderate 301. He placed the MKIII down on the table.
As he turned he noticed the CE.

He smiled, “Welcome to the Holo-deck.” He gestured with arms wide all rather theatrical.

“My name is Davon Riloc and I am the Security chief.” He placed his hand on his stomach and produced another dramatic movement which ended in a shallow bow.

“As you can see I have set up a little bit of target practice. Please feel free to peruse the wares on the table, find something you like. Almost everything on the table is in the armoury.” He ran his hand over the items on the table like a salesman.

Heather smirked as she looked to the chief of security and made her way to the table. She picked up a mark III phase pistol and looked it over and checking the aiming sight as her uncle had taught her to do with most pistols. “Not bad, Chief, Though I’m guessing you went a little easy on those targets?” She asked sensing that he could do better.

Heather Argeneau, CE

Davon smirked. “Hardly my dear engineer. I am just incredibly rusty. A few months on a transport will do that to a person.” He cocked an eyebrow and flamboyantly guessed to the now newly founded targets. “The floor is yours.”

Kate walked into the holodeck, she had scheduled some training with her first squad. As the doors opened she saw both Davon and Heather standing there.

“My apologies. I must have booked one of the other holodecks, and written it down wrong in my schedule.”

Looking down at the table she noticed all of the different weapons. “Catching up on some target practice?”

MCapt Hawkins - A CO Commander

“Oh absolutely Captain.” He gestured to the table with a salesman flamboyance. ” I know you’ll know what all these are so I won’t patronize you. You are more than welcome to have a crack at the targets. You know to get your eye in before your training session.” He smiled at Hawkins.

Heather didn’t respond to MCapt Hawkins as she expertly fired her weapon at each target that came up during the target practice, of course with her eyes as enhanced as they were by her nanites it was kind of cheating. After getting the perfect score she put the weapon back down before turning to face the Marine captain and the security Chief “Not bad though I think the timer on that last target was a little off.” She said softly hands on her hips. “Did you mark down the right Holodeck or not?” Heather asked the Marine CO prepared to leave if she did.

Bump

“Bravo Heather, bravo!” Davon chortled clasping his hands together with glee.
” You can color me impressed.”

He looked down at the table and picked up a rifle and reset the targets. He took three quick shots at the targets two-hit flush the last one glanced the top right of the target.

“Drat! Oh well, we can always hit the target.” He with his usual theatrics.

CoS

Heather smirked slightly, “If you adjust your sight you’ll hit that last target.” Heather told him softly. Heather had been watching him carefully as he’d aimed at the targets. .

Heather Argeneau, CE

“You know,” Kate said walking over to the table of weapons and picking up one of the rifles. She looked down the site, “it probably doesn’t matter. It keeps the teams on their toes if things change on them suddenly.” Kate had a bit of a grin as she said that. If her teams got to comfortable, that’s when someone got killed.

Checking the rifles charge quickly, she turned and pointed it down the range. Hitting the control to reset the targets, she took her shots hitting each one.

Lowering the rifle, Kate turned and looked at them. She tried not to laugh at the Riloc. Either he was really hamming it up, or she wasn’t sure how in the world he became a security chief. As much as it hated her to admit it, security officers weren’t that badly trained.

“Just call it a warm-up round.”

MCapt Hawkins - A CO Commander

“Except Captain Hawkins, I didn’t say that he should edit the targets that he’s firing at I said that the sight on his choice of weapon is off and if he adjusted it, he wouldn’t miss that last target as he was then he would hit each one of the targets as you and I have. Gloating is not very adult of you, don’t you think? I mean, after all, you barely hit that last target.” Heather asked of the Marine Captian with an arched brow as if to say if that was just a warm-up round how’d she become Marine captain.
