Davon was just filing away the last of his new crew assessments. Everyone seemed to be up to scratch, which was nothing more than he expected.

He looked up at the analogue clock he had put up on the wall and it was showing the time at 2242 which meant he had only 18 minutes left on his shift before he would hand over to the night crew. He sighed and pour the last of his coffee out of his cafetera in to his “#1 Security officer mug.” Taking a decent sip he smacked his lips together he leaned back in his chair.

The brig cameras showed the brig was totally empty. The marines and fly boys had behaved themselves during the party at Mellgelan, so Davon had the current shift running checks on the Brigs and the security weapons lockers.

With last of the files saved and stored. Davon handed over the shift details to the shift lead for the late shift. Nothing had happened as everyone had behaved during their stay at the space station.

It happened suddenly, there was a rumble then Davon and NE Jafta where from against the wall.
” Jafta are you okay?” He asked
” A little banged up but I’ll live.” She had a cut to her forehead that would definitely need some dermal regeneration.
“Get yourself sick bay.”

Jafta left holding her hand to her head.

=^= Security to bridge what just happened? I’ve just be launched across my office. I’ve had to send NE Jafta to Sickbay.=^=

There was no response to his call. In fact there was a disappointed squeak that indicated that the comm badges weren’t working to go along with the fact that power was out in his section. There was a brief moment a darkness before the back up power came on.

There was not ‘getting to sickbay’, at least it wasn’t as simple as that… none of the automatic doors were working in this section.

The security chief could tell it wasn’t even the impulse drive coming on line, it was the batteries… and at reduced power… which was weird. Each section had its own dedicated battery system that should power it full for hours… perhaps a day if it were rationed.

Davon tapped his comm badge couple more times before he accepted that comms were indeed down and out. Lucky for him the door to his office hadn’t shut before the power outage, it did however mean that Jefta was not going to sick bay anytime soon. Any medical attention she needed would have to be administered here in security.

He made his way over to a wall panel and tried to pry it open knowing there was a basic medical kit behind it.

“Jefta take a seat for a moment I do not think you are going to sick bay right this moment.” He said.

“Computer?” He asked hoping for some kind of find back, “damage report?”

COS

*Bumpio

The computer offered information sparingly. =^=Hull breaches along deck 20 through 24, section D - I, cross sectional force-fields and physical barriers have been deployed. Internal sensors and communications outside of the 22.7 meters of this location is non–responsive. Have a nice day : )=^=

GM

“Have a nice day?!” He muttered to himself. He started attending to the wound on Jefta’s head. It was mostly superficial but there was still a risk of concussion.

“Computer, Is anyone within range of my communicator other than those in Security?” He asked, he wanted to make sure there was a way to get out with out pulling wall panels inside security apart. While he waited he started unclipping the door panel.

The emergency manual release opened relatively easily. The handle inside rotated down and the door was detached from the machinery allowing for easy sliding of the door.

=^=Yes.=^= the computer paused. =^=Three com-badges belonging to Ensign Prema Science, Midshipman Reese Maintenance, Lieutenant Paige Medical.=^=

GM

“Jefta it looks like for now we will have to manually over ride the doors until whatever is happening is over.” Devan said, “Get as many of our people out there and start offering aid to anyone who needs it. And get yourself up to sickbay. I am going to head to the bridge.”

=^= This is Security Chief Riloc, to anyone who can here this message you will need to manually over ride the doors for the time being. Lt. Paige I am sending a security team your way to get you to sick bay if you’d be so kind as to look at Lt. Jefta when she gets to you that would be fantastic.=^=

=^=If you can get me to sick bay, I’ll look at whomever you’d like Chief.=^= Came the static filled reply of the Lieutenant. =^=I think we are cut off, I have a force field right in front of me and the computer says its securing the deck against a hull breach… I don’t see a hull breach.=^=

With that he stepped out of the office and towards a turbo lift shaft. “Computer currently what is the most secure way to access the bridge? The Turbolift shafts or Jefferies tubes?” He wasn’t an engineer but he would rather not get crushed by a Turbolift if the power suddenly came on.

CoS

=^=There is no secure path to CIC. No turbolifts report functioning. There is no bridge.=^= The computer answered unhelpfully.
