Heather looked back at him narrowing her eyes, “You’re also injured, but hey if you want me to be more strict then fine get your arse back to Engineering as soon as you’ve been taken care of, then I’ll see you without delay as soon as you have had your arm looked at. and not a moment later.” Heather told the Ensign not impressed with his look of disappointment she was being considerate if he didn’t want that then so be it. she could be a harsh task manager.

Ryley watched the group. “Noooo we don’t leave the nice safe sickbay to dangers unknown.” He said. “Can we deal with any injuries first before we go galavanting anywhere else.”

He held the tricorder out in a whos first gesture.

“I am uninjured, I brought three injured officers to you, Ensign Onthespot, The counselor and a Science Advisor, they are the injured ones.” Heather pointed out the three officers that she had brought to Sickbay for Dr. Ryley to look at. She was not one of them. There was no way she was letting any doctor look her over and find the Nanites that kept her from aging. Nope nope nope not happening. “This ship needs my attention so I can figure out what the hell is going on so if you’ll excuse me Dr. I need to go.” Heather told him.

“You can always fix my shoulder doc,” Ensign Onthespot offered simultaneously leading with the injured shoulder. Onthespot had bound the arm against his chest so he would not accidentally move the injured joint. The should itself was dislocated and there was ligament and tendon damage consistent with a dislocation.

OOC: I’m back! so in the interest of speed and coming back before I’m completely emotionally prepared I’m hopping straight in.

IC: Raal groaned as he drifted back into consciousness. His head pounded, he could feel his pulse in his temples. He blinked against the lights and realized he was laying down. He lifted himself up on his elbows and regretted it almost immediately as his stomach roiled. “Wherre am I?” he said weakly and looked around trying to focus his eyes on something.

OOC: no prob I’m waiting to see if Doc tries to stop Heather again before she responds lol.

Ryley raised one eyebrow at Heather. “Yeah I can see injured people. I just don’t think running off into the ship when you have no idea what’s going on is the safest bet kid.” He said and pushing a stool over to the NE with the bottom of his cane made a ‘sit down gesture’. He frowned at Heather then shrugged. “ You know what do what you want Mech.” He said giving Heather an apparent nickname. “You want to go traipsing around the ship fair enough. You don’t want to see a doctor then fine, don’t. What do I care? I’m not your mother.”

Onthespot had no concerns about waiting long enough to get his arm fixed. He wasn’t even 30% useful with a busted wing. Even if it took a hour he would be able to catch up on the work he lost in twenty minutes. Math is math.

After Onthespot had compiled and sat on the stool, NE medic sprang into action, scanning the arm he gave Onthespot a Hypo. “That should help with the pain, I’ll start work on repairing the injury in a moment.”

Ryley meanwhile turned his attention away from the CE to the nearby biobed where Raal had been put. He watched the man try to get up and then lower himself back down. “Let that be a lesson to you.” The Bearded Doctor grumped as he began a scan. “You’re in sickbay.”

Raal had closed his eyes against the blinding lights, or at least they were blinding to him right now. “That’s good to herre. I thought I was being called to the light.” He reached up and rubbed his brow. “I’m prretty surre I have a concussion.” He grumbled.

Ryley nodded. “Yeah that tend STl be what happens when you clunk you’re head good and hard.” He said. Checking the scan results.

Heather scowled at the Doctor, “How exactly do you suggest I figure out what is going on with communications down and staying here where I will just be in the way. The best place for me to learn what is going on is down in Engineering unless you do not mind my using one of your Consoles here in sickbay to connect to Engineering and see what reports I can access.” Heather said in a curt voice wondering if this man was even a doctor to be talking the way he was to her or anyone else she had to resist the urge to knock him on his ass. Instead, she forced herself to wait patiently while he gave her an answer.

Ryley made a scoffing sound, “You’re lucky you even got this far from the reports others have given. We are on deck 3…near to the emergency transporters which would make more sense to try and fix to then traverse the insanity that appears to the the ship , again I’m basing this on the reports of others who made it here not on first hand experience, than trying to go down to deck 16.“ He continued to scan Raal. “But By all means like I said go to engineering. Then what?”

OOC: No bridge on this monstrosity. its the CIC in the middle of the ship (tactically harder to target and theoretically easier for the crew to get to.) .

Ooc: sorry I looked at the wrong spec! Have edited it out.

He turned to look at Heather then and as he took in her expression a small grin turned the corners of his mouth. “Oh look.” He said. “You don’t like me…well too bad Kid. I don’t care.” He indicated a nearby console. “Try that first then if you still feel the need to go down thirteen decks, knock yourself out.” Picking up a device he began running it over the scientists head.

Ooc: Dont mind Ryley! He’s basically House MD, feel free to snark right back or knock him on his ass ;) ~ Cale

Heather scowled at the Doctor with the lack of bedside manner and turned towards the console instead. He wasn’t worth responding to or reacting to his childish behavior. She was thankful she wasn’t mortal or else she would have to be treated by him and she wasn’t about to let him anywhere near her. Stepping up to the Console he had indicated she accessed it to see if there was anything she needed to know or could repair from here.

He watched her scowl and continued to run the device over Raal’s head. “That…” he said as he worked. “Should deal with the concussion. How’s the vision?” He asked and switched device for a Hypo which he pressed against the man’s neck.

As the pain in his head subsided he opened his eyes. He blinked a few times as they adjusted to the light, but otherwise they seemed fine. “Still a little sensitive to the light, but at least it doesn’t feel like I’m looking dirrectly into a starr.” He craned his neck away from the doctor to give him better access to his neck. “What’s this forr?” he asked. He trusted doctors but he was still curious.
