<snip>Granger looked mildly offended at the idea that he might have something in common with a cake eater. He snorted then looked at the door. “Where is this fool. It’s not like I don’t have better things to do and have an unlimited amount of time to wait for him to grace us with his winning personality.” Granger muttered.

Ryley shrugged, “how the hell should I know? I’ve never met the guy.” He puffed air between his cheeks and looked around him again. “Is he as fun as you are?”

MDJust then, the doors swished open, a man walked inside, pausing just inside the doorway. His eyebrows raised, and his dark black eyes almost seemed perplexed.
Ryley watched with interest as the confused man took in the situation before him.
“Oh dear, was I expecting a couples counseling session today?” The man asked, looking quickly from Ryley to Granger. Then he shook his head, dismissing the idea. “No, no, that’s not it.” He squinted his eyes, shifting glances between both men once more. “Interesting…” He mused, letting his voice trail off, his expression turning neutral once more.
“My apologies for being tardy,” He said, walking over towards them. “I’m Counselor Simon Arbogist,” He held out his hand, offering it first to Granger, then to Ryley and then back over towards Granger again.

Ryley used his cane to stand and offered his hand in return. “Alex Ryley. Chief medical Officer
” he replied by way of introduction. “Or at least i should be if you declare me not mental. Otherwise i guess i’ll go play piano in the lounge or something.” He smirked.Ryley

OOC: Pasting in Granger to fix the thread split.
Granger merely sat in silence, his face had an expression that looked like he was chewing rocks as he struggled to keep his hand from moving to the knife hand position as he chewed out this useless officer who couldn’t even competently use a clock. Star-fleet did not mint stupid marines and sometimes, especially when confronted with the height of inconsideration or incompetence. The only way forward was to say nothing at all. But Granger didn’t like having to not give this namby pamby officer a peice of his mind. No sir he did not.

Simon stared at Granger for a moment, before turning back towards Ryley and shaking the man’s hand. “Pleasure.” He said, turning his attention back towards the Marine.
“There was a conflict in my scheduling today and I regret I was unable to contact you to reschedule,” Simon said. “However this does not indicate that I am incompetent in my job abilities.” He frowned, looking back towards Ryley.
“I believe that our discussion will have to wait, Doctor,” He said. “Perhaps when I am finished with Mister Granger here I can meet you somewhere. In the Lounge?”
