“Put it in her tab…and move unless you want me to ruin the Upholstery.” The greying old Doctor mutter groggily as he turned onto his side, facing Grander’s shoes and made a sort of weak retching noise. He was sick of course, not bothering to care if the marine had moved out the way, because why not add to the humiliation. Finished he wiped the back of his hand across his mouth and rolled Onto his back. “Jacobs…remind me to file a complaint about your drafting measures.”

Katelyn resisted the urge to roll her eyes once again and made her way to a nearby supply station. Poking through the various hyposprays, she found the one she was looking for and toted it back to Ryley. Before he could object, she pressed the ejector and the medication to help with his drunkenness swished into his blood stream. “Would you prefer I shred it or can we just go for a good old fashioned burning?” she remarked as she leaned one hip against the biobed and crossed her arms across her chest. An indulgent smirk crossed her features as she plainly surveyed the doctor from head to toe and shook her head in mock judgment. “Seems you could use us as much as I could use you.”

Ryley didn’t move as the hypospray was used and the medication did it’s thing. He opened one eye and scowled darkly when his vision was clear and his headache beginning to fade. Gingerly he moved his limbs slightly and took stock of himself “How about you shove it somewhere…” he grumbled as he sat up. “I’ll even help you I’m just that nice. Hand me my cane and bend over.” He said indicating the biobed with his chin. He then turned his attention to the bed’s readings and considered them. “Seems I could use you for an osteoregenerator and a shower.” He muttered.

One of Katelyn’s eyebrows crept upward as she contemplated Ryley. As he sat up, she moved back slightly to allow him to swing his legs down and make himself comfortable on the edge. It only took a slight move forward and then balancing on her toes to place her lips near his ear such that her words were for his hearing only. “Maybe after that dinner I owe you,” she murmured softly. She paused for a moment, her warm breath able to be felt against his ear, before adding, “but only if you take that shower first.” With that, she dropped back down to her heels and returned to the supplies she had raided before, identifying the osteoregenerator and bringing it over to Ryley. “Can you reach or do you need some help?” she asked, mock sincerity in her tone as she dangled the device in front of the doctor.

Watching her warily as she moved Ryley stiffened as she leaned towards him and spoke. The corners of his bear twitched into a half crooked sort of smile. “ Oh— no, no, no, no, no. You’re not going to win me over that easily. You may have a wheel. That doesn’t mean you get the grease. You gotta Squeak.” He said as she wandered away and began rummaging in the supplies. Taking the offered device he began running it over his left wrist. He turned it a few times experimentally then switched to the left hand and did his right forearm and then the shoulder. “Couple weeks or months old those breaks but better safe than sorry.” He said by way of explanation and then in response to her offer of help added. “Well I should be ok but I may need some help to scrub my back.”

Katelyn remained surprisingly quiet as he worked, studying the movements of the tool as the practiced physician worked and nodding in response to his explanation. She filed away that she should probably have a turn with the device, having managed to mostly avoid encounters with Starfleet Medical following her second rescue from Romulan forces. Her smirk grew slightly dour at the memory and she physically shook her head to erase it from her active thoughts. The sly grin crossed her features once again as she crossed her arms once more. “Hmm, not my thing, ask a nurse,” she commented as she held out her hand for the device to return it to the proper location. “And really, not much of a squeaker either…”
