He waited until she was comfortable then stood and brought the Hypo up, he held it in front of her a second to show it to her then pressed it against her neck. “That will help with the pain and for the record Romulan make as good as Doctors as they do diplomats. However the last time I told one such I got a beating for my trouble.” He switched to the regenerator and ran it over her clavicle to begin with. “Interesting side note, Breaking a clavicle on the wedding night is considered good luck in Klingon culture and the femur is one of the largest bones in the humanoid body and thus one of the hardest to break, though not impossible.” He continued to work and glance cup at her. “They must have done a good number on you Kiddo.” He said quietly.

A brief flash of annoyance came across Katelyn’s face as the hypospray was pressed against her neck before she could truly react. If she’d been provided a chance to give an opinion, her opinion would have been to inform him that he could put the hypospray in the same location his complaint was to be stored on her. “I’ll be sure to let my imaginary Klingon spouse know that,” she bit at Ryley, snideness overtaking the more playful sarcasm that had been sprinkled in their battle of wits. She remained silent as he completed the rest of his task, feeling the unwelcome fuzziness of the pain medication creeping through her brain. His quiet observation rattled her slightly, but she refused to dignify him with a response, instead testing out the various repairs although without any hint of pain to tell her if they were 100% better. “Is that it?” she demanded, finally.

If he was bothered by her tone he didn’t show it. Merely continued with the treatment, moving the device to her leg and then rescanning to check the repair. “No.” He said “You need to lie down so i can examine the rest of you.” He waited watching her.

Katelyn narrowly resisted the urge to test the repair to her leg by kicking him, reminding herself that would not be becoming of her position on the Chimera. “Or what?” she grumbled at Ryley. “I was already cleared by Starfleet Medical to be here. If I’d known you were going to be so annoying, I’d have left you with the Klingons.”

Ryley watched her. “ Or nothing. You go on your way and I dog you till I find something else to occupy myself with.” He made a scoffing noise, “yeah right…like I trust what any other doctors say. I’ve been to starfleet medical, I know what those guys are drinking. As for the Klingons, you knew how annoying I was before you decided to come get me. Put me back if you want, what do I care? But If that’s your best line of defence then I’m disappointed.”

Katelyn let out an annoyed huff, but laid back down on the biobed obediently. Her inky black eyes followed Ryley’s every move as she laid there silently.
