=^= Computer. Access Computer core on my Authorization - Jen th’Jir Romeo November Alpha Seven Seven Niner =^=
Jen

“I imagine they already have enough holes to deal with given our current situation.” He said with a hint of a smile. Once the door open Riloc made his way over to the other access point and waited for the CE. He now had a purpose this made both him and Riloc, his symbiot very happy indeed.

CoS

=^=Acknowledged.=^= Came the simple response from computer station. The doors slide open exposing the three story cylinder that was the computer system. There was an available data panel, but the system was voice activated as well.
GM

Kate blinked, that was almost to easy, especially after all her team had to do in getting to the core in the first place. “Why couldn’t it have been that easy when we first were making our way through the ship?”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

Riloc looked at Captain Hawkins. ” No idea, does seem a little odd. Almost like the ship wants us to go to the computer core?” He thought it sounded ridiculous coming out of his mouth. ” Seems a little bit far fetched thought, maybe?”

COS

They could hear several crew members from a dozen decks above conversing as they fiddled with the computer core from the other entrance.

GM

“I think I hear someone up at the top of the core,” she said as she turned and looked up.

She took a step back before calling out, “This is Captain Hawkins of A Company. Call out if you can hear me!”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

OOC: They could hear each other pretty clearly

“Captain, this is Lieutenant Sutret. Do you have access to the control console down there?”

Lt Sutret - CE

Kate looked around, it seemed like the consoles were working. “Want to give it a shot el tee?” she asked looking over at Riloc. “What is it that you fleeters say, if you want something destroyed the fastest way is to have a marine touch it?”

Grinning Kate turned her head back up towards the access hatchway before she called out. “We do Lieutenant. I have Lieutenant Riloc here with me. What do you want us to do?”

MCapt Hawins - A Co Commander

“Okay,” she called down the hatchway. “See what you can do to release the additional security lockouts that the ship put in, blocking the access throughout the ship. And if there is any way to get the comm systems back online. I’m going to work on the sensors.”

Lt Sutret - CE

Riloc looked back at Hawkins, ” Boy do I wish I had read up on this ship a bit more before stepping on board.” he smiled, ” I jest, lets go and gave a look at these panels and see what wonderous treats this ship has in store for us down here.” He was feeling much happier now he had a purpose, Riloc the symbiot was also estatic now they where both doing fun. Of course he knew none of the crew this but he did and that made him smile agian.

He approached a panel to the left hand side of the computer core and typed in his access code with rythmic timing. ” Lets see what we got.”

COS

The computer gave the Chief of Security his standard access. Which normally including the ships cross-sectional forcefield and hatches. However according to the computer this was done due to extreme damage and his ‘security’ protocols were rejected… at least initially.

GM

“hmm” He grunted to himself. ” Capt. Hawkins. I can not get past the security protocols, I think it my require a higher security clearance than mine.” This was frustrating for him, he is the cheif of secuirty surely he should have enough clearance to override the computer. He was not going to grumble about it at the moment but he would bring it up after all this was over with.

“So it looks like we get to test your theory of whether a marine breaks everything they touch.” looked over his shoulder and smiled.

CoS

Kate chuckled, “Let’s find out. Because there is no way I have higher clearance then you when it comes to the ships systems. They don’t usually like us touching these things.”

Walking up to the console, she started to tap out some commands. “It looks like the computer is rejecting your access due to ‘extreme damage.’ I wonder if we can convince the computer that we need this access to protect the ship and the crew. Bypass the usual lockouts. Either that, we will have to get help from a higher authority,” she said pointing up to where the CE was working and chuckling.

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

Riloc agreed with a quick nod. =^= Riloc to Sutret I can’t disable the safety systems with my level of clearance. Any advice you can send our way would be great. I’ll be in touch with HR after this crisis don’t you worry. =^= He laughed at himself. ” Hopefully that higher power was listening.” He chuckled.

CoS

Kate laughed. “There has gotta be a way to just bring the shields down. As much as I like explosives, it is quite a bit of work to keep blowing holes in each deck to make our way through.”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

=^= Standby Lieutenant. I’m going to see if I can override. =^=

Lt Sutret - CE
=^= understood. Riloc out. =^=

He looked at the lay out again he knew that the computer still believed the ship was in peril. Question now was, how do they convince it all is well. Relatively speaking.

“Computer can you show me recent computer log records up to the moment the safety protocols began?”

CoS

The computer started spitting out reams of per-collision logs. Without a specific search the data would be overwhelming for anyone outside of an artificial intelligence to process effectively.

GM

Kate blinked as the data came flooding in. “I think we are going to have to be a bit more specific about what we are asking for. Because I don’t even know where we begin to start with all of this data. Was there something you were looking for specifically?”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

=^= Sutret to Riloc. You’ve got access. But whatever you do, don’t disable the internal forcefields. It’s all that is holding us together. I’ve got one of my engineers running the calcs to figure out which ones we can bypass right now. =^=

Lt Sutret - CE (crosspost)

=^= Understood cheif, I await your advice. =^= he turned to Hawkins again, “well at least we can help a bit more now I suppose.”

CoS

OOC: Maybe I missed it what are you doing more specifically?

Luke

OOC: My bad I missed some posts

IC:

Riloc thought for a moment. “Computer, Rationale for structural fields going up? Query, when there is no visible structural damage to the ship?” He knew it had already been asked but he hoped he could glean something.

CoS

=^=Shield, internal force fields, and cross-sectional bulkheads are automatically deployed when collision of a magnitude 4 or greater or projected.=^= The computer paused before it continued its unassailable logic =^= Internal sensors detect stress at points within 5 to 20 meters of this point, vary between 2 and 930 mega-pascals. This data is consistent with a massive collision. Further the hull pressure is projected to be over 4000 mega-pascals which is over crush pressure. Deactivating shields and internal force fields - project to the destruction of the ship in 2.7 seconds.=^=

Computer

At this point Jen came over the comms after a red alert signal came over the comms. =^= All hands. This is Commander Jen th’Jir. Computer estimates show that external pressure on our hull is increasing and we have 8 hours to solve this before there are critical failures. All hands able to attend their stations and help work out our situation is hereby ordered to do so. We need to know what is out there beyond our hull. Perceptive crew members have seen auras of beings. These must be logged and investigated as they appear and contact made if possible. Medical continue with your work with the injured. Engineering is to find us more time. Science get us eyes outside and communication with these beings. Security and Marines continue. If a crew member sees a being I want a Marine or Security attending them. The Captain will update you further. Good work so far. Lets get on this. Jen out. =^=
- Jen

“Oh that does not sound good at all,” Kate said looking over at Riloc. “But it seems like comms are back up.”

Reaching up Kate triggered the comm link with Alpha Company.

=^= This is Captain Hawkins. I want fire teams patrolling the ship, pattern Gamma Two. Coordinate with security patrols, and check in with CIC if you spot anything. =^=

“I’m good to stay here and help out, if you need to get out with your security teams.”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

“Roger that sir.” Riloc slid back out of the computer core. =^= Riloc to Security team Bravo meet me at the computer core on deck 14.=^=

CoS

=/\= This is Captain Jacobs. Our investigations have revealed that this is not a targeted attack, but the source of these troubles is still under investigation. Commander th’Jir or I will update you further when we know more, but for now, we need to find out what happened. =/\=

Jacobs, CO (crosspost)
