The weight of her kit thrown from her shoulders, Khavo found there were more important things to do than worry about the sandwich she forgot to eat the night before, which still remained in the bag of her kit. I better not forget that.. She thought to herself, hardly wishing for her quarters to smell like some concoction of chicken, spinach and a dairy-less mayonnaise. Even the thought had her cringing in her step, a quirk she quickly fixed.

Navigating the halls of the ship, which was far larger than the tiny freigher she had come from, prior, Khavo made her way to the turbolift, with every intention of meeting with the Captain within the next fifteen minutes. Offering an animalistic grin to one of the passing officers, harldy expecting the look of concern she received from him, she shrugged her shoulders and slid into the turbolift, ordering it to the proper deck.

Keeping to herself in that confined room, barley capable of fitting three normal-sized officers, she listened as the seconds ticked by, hoping it would speed up. Khavo hated to admit it, but after spending six months locked in a tiny room with a touchy Bolian for a roommate, she had become a bit claustrophobic.

As the doors hissed open, she made her way to the Captain’s office, raising her hand to tap the notification chime.

“Enter” came the voice of the newly promoted captain. Upon entering the Captain’s ready room the Rigelian operations chief would observe a messy room with several containers positioned throughout the small room.

Captain Chris Johnson, CO

“Good day, Captain..” Khavo was caught off guard by the mess that rested before her. Raising her eyebrows, she knew better than to question it. “Lieutenant Khavo, reporting for duty.”

Standing up behind his desk Johnson observed as the ships new Chief of Operations “Ahh Lieutenant, welcome aboard please take a seat” he began by saying gesturing with his left hand for the chief of operations to take a seat on the vacant chair adjacent to him. “I trust you travelled here with ease” he inquired.

At first, Khavo wasn’t sure where to look, the boxes and miscellaneous items enough to confuse her. Nodding, she took a seat in the indicated chair, leaning heavily to her right side, while maintaining a formal posture. “I suppose you could say that, yes.” She nodded, offered an odd smile. “How are you, sir?”

“I am quite well thank you I suppose you could describe my current situation as hectic,” he said with a slight giggle before becoming seated once again. “So tell me a little about yourself and your history in starfleet” he began by saying before speaking once again. “Can I offer you a drink” he politly said.

Captain Christopher Johnson, CO

“No, thank you.” Khavo was not much of a drinker, not for anything besides water. Smirking a bit at his giggle, finding it a unique quirk she had not seen in other Captains, she leaned forwards. “I have nothing special, excluding my species and involvement in Starfleet. I began my studies at California Institute of Technology, and got my Masters in Quantum Mechanics, I later transferred to Starfleet Academy, where I took courses in operations and star cartography. Afterwards, I first was assigned to an Outpost, where I continued my studies with CT. Since then, I have been through four ships and one starbase.” She smiled, keeping everything vague. Her file, however, did mention various commendations, a few reprimands, a promotion, no demotions, and a list of her citations and awards. Although, nothing indicated how old she was, beyond the fact she had been in Starfleet for nine years. A very cryptic woman.
