James entered the Sickbay for the dreaded physical examination. His dislike for the procedure always filled him with a feeling of unease. Being away from his trap-filled labs always made him uneasy. As did Doctors. “Excuse me, lass, I’m lieutenant Grey I’m here for mah check-up”

The doctor with shoulder length ginger hair turned around from what they were doing, revealing the face of a man.

“Harry Simons,” he said extending a hand for a handshake.

“Now then, shall we start with your sight test?” he asked.

-Harry

James smiled fondly as he shook the doctor’s hand heartily “Indeed we shall My boy”

“Please come this way,” Harry said leading James to a biobed, “Before we begin do you have any medical conditions or allergies that I should be aware of?”

-Harry

James took a little sidestep before sitting on the bed “Ahh, I had asthma as a child that should be in there I think” He said with the same gleeful tone “I am allergic to raisins but not grapes, so I guess you could say I’m allergic to mold. but it’s still only raisins and not other dried fruit. Come to think of it I might just really dislike raisins to the point of almost dying when I eat them.” He smiled at the doctor.

“OK, let’s get started,” Harry replied. He took out a tricorder and began scanning James with the scanner unit of the tricorder which hummed and whistled in its usual fashion as it took all manner of measurements from the CSO including heartrate, blood pressure, blood glucose levels, lung capacity and retnax prescription to mention just a few.

“How have you been feeling?” the doctor asked as he studied the readings on the display unit.

-Harry

James slightly stretched himself in his seat “I’ve been a bit stiff, spent the last four years teaching on Vulcan, those students don’t really like it when you stand at ease. I’ve had to have several deep tissue massages in that time. Hopefully being back with Starfleet means I can relax a wee bit” The scans showed a fairly healthy individual, there was a slight change compared to his last official Starfleet exam little over four years ago. He’d lost some weight and seemed to have been eating much more healthily. He had been forgoing his Retnax in favor of wearing glasses for the past year but nothing too severe.

“How did you find the vegetarian diet on Vulcan?” Harry asked out of genuine curiosity. It was the biggest complaint of humans working on Vulcan.

-Harry
