As the young Andorian dragged her feet on the way back to their quarters, she let out a small melancholy sigh. Oshi tutted in frustration as they neared the door and stood glaring at her as they swished open. He clicked his fingers and and motioned for her to go inside. As soon as the doors closed he slapped his hand down on the desk, causing her to jump. “Sit down!” he barked as he pointed to the sofa. Ryalla dutifully complied and took a tentative seat perched on the edge. Oshi shook his head and leant against the console behind him.

“What the hell are you playing at?” his eyes flashed with anger. “Do you realise what will happen if that kid dies?!” Ryalla remained silent but couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks.

Oshi took a couple of menacing steps towards her and leant over her, his face mere centimeters from hers. “Do you ever want to see your father again?” he asked in a slow and controlled voice. “We had an agreement which you could very well have blown tonight…I didn’t give you that device so you could have a jolly with one of your little friends, you have a job to do and if you ever want daddy to see the light of day again you will do it!” Oshi paused for a moment, his eyes fixed on hers in a steely gaze.

Ryalla shuddered at the thought of her father being held prisoner by this maniac but she was powerless to stand up to him, at least until she had completed her mission. She clenched her jaw and fought hard to maintain her composure as the man who had been posing as her father for the past month stared her down. Oshi contemplated raising a hand to her but thought better of it and backed off. “If you step out of line one more time, I will make sure you never see him again…” he threatened as he turned and grabbed his jacket. He picked up the bottle of champagne he had on ice in the corner and stormed out of the room barking “Lock!” as he did so.

After he got a few steps down the corridor he chuckled. Part of him felt a little bad for laying it on so thick with the girl but she was just a means to an end. He swung the bottle by his side as he arrived at Lt Starla’s quarters. He pressed the door chime and waited patiently. Moments later the gorgeous Lt Starla opened the door wearing nothing but a skimpy red silk negligee and a stunning pair of scarlet high heels. “What took you so long stud?” she whispered as she playfully nibbled his ear lobe. Oshi lobbed the bottle onto a nearby armchair and whisked her up into his arms and headed into the bedroom.

Cross had finished up in Sickbay and the Counselors but the thought of Ryalla wouldn’t leave him alone and he decided he would check on her. He had a feeling that her father wouldn’t bother taking her to the Counselor though she could surely use it after the incident in the holodeck.

Reaching Oshi and Ryalla’s quarters he rang the chime.

Cross Sec

After her encounter with Oshi, Ryalla had curled up in a ball in the corner of the room and wept. She felt so alone and lost but she just couldn’t see a way out. As the door chime went she jumped and gasped in shock. She was worried that it would be Oshi returning but then why would he ring the chime? She sniffed and quickly wiped her eyes with her sleeve and cleared her throat. She walked over to the comm link and pressed the button.

“Um, hello?” She asked quietly, her voice wavering with a mixture of fear and sadness.

Mother Hen (GM)

Cross looked up surprised that the girl had answered by comm and not opening the door.”Hello Ryalla. Its Lt. Cross. I just wanted to check in and see how you were doing.”
He said keeping is tone even and calm.

Cross Sec

Ryalla cried softly from behind the door. She felt so torn between concern for her father and her own guilt about what she had done and what Oshi was going to get her to do next. She tried to hold back the tears as she answered Cross.

“I…I…um…I’m…ok…I…” the emotion in her voice was evident. She paused for a moment as she tried to compose herself. “…I’m…” she started again but burst into tears, sobbing loudly over the comm link.

Mother Hen (GM)

“Ryalla, what’s wrong?” Cross asked gently. This girl definitely needed the Counselor.”It’s okay. Du’Ralle is going to be fine.” He said consolingly.

Cross Sec

Ryalla shook her head as she leant against the bulkhead and rested her head just above the comm panel and rocked back and forth. “It’s not that…I mean it is that…it’s just everything..!” she cried as she started to punch the bulkhead in frustration. “I don’t know what to do!!” She half shouted, half cried, wincing as she looked at her bruised knuckles and kicked the door.

Mother Hen (GM)

“Why don’t you open the door, Ryalla? Is your father here?” Cross asked with confusion as he tried to make sense of what the girl was talking about.

Cross Sec

As Ryalla looked down at her trembling and bruised hands she softly wept and she slid down the bulkhead to sit on the floor.

“I can’t…” she replied quietly. “…he’s not here but he’s locked me in…” She stammered, her voice broken and distraught. Every fibre in her being wanted to tell Cross who Oshi really was but she was paralysed by fear. If she did tell him then Oshi would surely kill her father. She bit down on her lower lip to keep from saying more and winced as a warm trickle of blood dripped down her chin and gently splashed on the deck. “…please help me…” she whispered gently.

Mother Hen (GM)

Cross frowned as he debated what he should do. It wasn’t his place to interfere between a father and his daughter but he couldn’t bear to leave her in this state. What should he do? “Ryalla…I am going to page the Counselor to come and speak to you, okay? I’ll stay here too but I think he could help a lot.”
=^=Cross to Counselor Frogue. I am at Oshi and Ryalla’s quarters and I think she could really use you, Counselor. Would you be able to come here?=^=

=^="Frogue here, I will be there in just a couple of minutes." =^= Hearing the panic in the Cross's voice, Frogue hit his communicator and said, "Transporter Room, medical emergency, please beam me directly to Ryalla's quarters."

Ryalla ran to the locked door and put her hand against it, wincing as her bruised knuckles throbbed. “You will stay won’t you? You promise?” She asked frantically. She wanted to come clean but now there were other people getting involved. However hard it was for her, she couldn’t let anything happen to her father, she had to comply with Oshi.

“I will stay, Ryalla. It will be alright.” Cross said, wondering how long he could stay. He had other duties to see too but if he could get her speaking with the Counselor it would help things.

She sniffed and dried her eyes. She knew it would look suspicious if she was suddenly ok but for all Cross knew she was just being a teenager. “It’s just so unfair!” She shouted through the door, ready to get her teenage strop on. “He doesn’t understand me at all! And he’s really mean!” She continued. “I want to talk to the Captain!!” She added, hoping that the distraction would steer them away from what was really happening. “Bring the Captain here!” She demanded.

Mother Hen (GM)

“I am sorry, Ryalla but the Captain is really busy. Just wait for the Counselor to come, he will be help with you and your father.” Cross said soothingly wondering what was taking the Counselor so long.

A couple of minutes later, the transporter beam brought Counselor Frogue into the quarters as requested.

OOC: Sorry for the delay in responding.

CNS

OOC: Just a little tip hon, its better not to attribute feelings are actions to other characters unless they post it themselves first. Cross wasn’t the one panicked here…Ryalla appears to be quite upset though. But nice job of getting there quickly.

Cross heard the sound of the transporter beam from where he stood outside the quarters in the corridor, and looked around confused when he didn’t see anyone appear.
“Uh..hello?” He called.” Ryalla did someone just beam in there?” He asked a bit confused.

Cross Sec

Ryalla turned to face the transporter beam and screamed as the counselor appeared unexpectedly in her quarters. She huddled as close to the door as she could and pleaded through it. “Please help me Lt! Some nutter just appeared in my room! Help!” she screeched as she picked up a nearby paperweight and threw it at the intruder.

Mother Hen

OOC: That’ll teach you for not knocking! :)

OOC: Hm....okay....lol

“It’s alright, Ryalla it’s probably just the Counselor.” Cross said in a calming voice as he waited and listened to hear if it had been the Counselor.

Frogue jumped back as the young lady backed away from him. Putting up his hands he replied, "I am sorry that I scared you. Please for me; I am the ship's counselor, Lt. Timothy Frogue...please let me help you." Frogue

Ryalla had a face like thunder as she threw her arms up in the air. “You’re the counselor? Seriously?!” she protested as she glared at him and shook her head. “You just beam in here with no warning?!” she gritted her teeth and stared at him for a couple of seconds before she remembered why she had been upset in the first place and slumped back down on the floor with her head in her hands. “This is so messed up…” she said quietly as she began to weep again.

Mother Hen

OOC: Just combining threads

“I am the counselor and it was my error to beam into your quarters; for that I am sorry. I was acting on what I thought was a medical emergency, sometimes that medical override can be worse than we desired. Please let me talk to you and see if I can give you any help” said the counselor trying to save the situation.

Frogue

“Ryalla? Counselor?” Cross called through the comm system from outside in the corridor as he tried to figure out what was going on inside. If the Counselor was able to take over he could return to his duties.

Cross Sec

Ryalla sniffed and dried her eyes looking up at the counselor. She knew she needed to get this back under control to protect her father so she gritted her teeth and rose to her feet, clearing her throat. “I’m sorry, it’s just me being silly…you didn’t need to come…” she said quietly as she tapped the comm unit. “I’m sorry Lt, it’s my fault, I’m sorry to be a bother…” she added apologetically.

Mother Hen

“I just want to make sure you’ll be okay, Ryalla. Is the Counselor there? Talk to him, he can help you a lot.” Cross said soothingly sighing in relief.

Cross Sec

Ryalla looked the counsellor up and down a couple of times before tapping the comm link again. “He’s here…” she said in a somewhat irritated and unimpressed tone. She slumped cross legged on the floor and rested her chin on her hand. “So what now? We just talk?” She asked with a bit of a sneer on her face.

Mother Hen

“Good luck,” Cross said in parting to Ryalla as he took his leave and returned to his duty.

Cross Sec

Ryalla sighed as she heard Cross leaving and just stared at the counselor. “Well?” she asked, clearly irritated by him. “What do you want to talk about?” she asked as she shrugged her shoulders.
